This area is full of Jamaican restaurants I tried most of them when I moved here about two months ago. This is the only one that I would recommend the food is always good and they give great portions. I have never seen a Jamaican restaurant that gives you so much oxtails. If you just moved to this area, you have to try this place. You will definitely love it.

The very worst experience ever. I ordered the chicken stew with rice and peas, then after ordering the main dish as a side the menu program stated that I had to choose a second side, yet there’s no choices, just steamed vegetables with a selection box. I figured why not since cabbage is a vegetable, but nope I didn’t get it... I stated I’d like as a second selection Mac & Cheese but nope, I didn’t get that either. The chicken was hard to chew on as though it’s been under the heated light all day long, without anyone moving it around so the sauce can keep it moist. The vegetables were soggy and the only thing that was not too bad was the rice...then without even asking they took out a tip. I will let everyone in 10550 know about your tricks and nasty food...lucky I had already paid. NO STARS, NO POINTS, NO MORE ORDERS FROM ME.....Good riddance!

Customer service was 1/10. I’m vegan and the waiter put jerk chicken as gravy in my food. When I went to return 1 minute after I left the restaurant I politely I ask the waiter if I can get another order she expressed to me that I have to pay for another order because I left the restaurant. I kindly walked away and told her thank you. I’ll won’t be returning her again

Nope!I've ordered the chicken soup from here many times, and this is the lowest of the low and most certainly my last order. (See pics below)Got a $10 large soup:-Broth was not seasoned, thin, and oily-Chicken was not seasoned, and I only got 3 knee pieces of chicken-2 baby dumplings-3 half carrots and 1 edge piece of potatoI'm actually offended that a JAMAICAN restaurant served this soup. I'm almost certain there must be a new cook in the kitchen because it was bad! My son gave the soup back to me and said it wasn't good and he's eaten there soup before.

I didn’t like the service today. The person didn’t add utensils or ask if I wanted gravy my rice. If he is the owner he should let his workers do the job. Small portions on a large meals.
This is now my FAVORITE Jamaican ?? spot in Mt. Vernon. The chef NEVER DISAPPOINTS.The potato salad is on pointMac and Cheese so yummy.

I can’t rate their in person service or the atmosphere being that I ordered. By far the worst Caribbean (Jamaican) food I’ve ever had. I read the reviews and figured I’ll give it a chance. I regret it! The Mac and cheese was dry with no flavor so was the rice.
