Good, clean, no frills local deli on Gramatan. They have all your basic food needs and more. I get the grilled chicken sandwich. Love it. Prices are affordable for what you get.

I've been going to Sal's from before they relocated due to fire, got to admit I feel that the service is ok but owner and family are kind of rude.maybe it's just me but everytime I go there I remember why they Not my favorite spot & I am a Mt Vernon resident for over 20 yrs

Best deli and sandwiches in Mount Vernon. Pro-tip: call and order before arriving as the deli is excellent and very popular and lines/wait for in-store orders can be a little long.
Parking: Metered street parking only. May have to park down the block but worth the short walk.
