The food is so good. I like the fact that it's not salty and they put the pepper separately so you can add as much as you like. They missed one of my order and they were nice enough to deliver it to my home. Good customer service.

This place needs some work. The food is amazing! I eat here 3 times a week. But their service is so poor. I finally decided to leave a review despite how much I love the food. 1) when you call to order, the owner will pick up the phone talking to you while taking someone’s physical order and tell you mid order “I’ll call you back” and hang up. (So rude) it’s happened a number of times. 2) I switched to ordering on Uber because calling to order was such a hassle. Now when I order on uber , I get home to items missing in my order. When you call them they say “ we will make it up to you ( you don’t know me!) this has happened so many times. 3) when you order, you can wait 2 hrs only to get there and your food isn’t ready.
The food here is amazing. I love Ghanaian food but everything else is so poor. They don’t have a system so it makes getting food here so annoying.

Honestly...this is not it. I got fufu with beef... The beef stew was bland and sooooooooo oily. I felt like I was eating straight oil. There was absolutely no flavor. I was so disappointed. Will not be returning unfortunately. Food isn't cheap so I expected better.

Waiting a whole HOUR for okra soup with fufu and plaintains .. I specifically told them NO MEAT AND THEY gave me it anyway … the cashier infront told me that he would let them know that about my order. and will give me okra soup. & still gave me it chicken.. I don’t get it . Never again

I called Tasty Buds before placing my order, and the staff was incredibly professionals and welcoming. When I got my a food, I was not disappointed! I ordered Fufu with Egusi Stew & Goat Meat, and everything was absolutely delicious. The seasoning was perfect—not too spicy but full of rich flavors. You can tell they put care into their cooking. I’ll definitely be ordering again and recommending this place to everyone I know!”

I recently had the chance to try out the egusi soup at Tasty Budz, and it was absolutely delicious! The soup was rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and not too oily. The consistency was just right - not too thick, but not too thin either. The dish was served piping hot, which made it even more satisfying to enjoy. I highly recommend trying their egusi soup if you're a fan of African cuisine or just looking for a tasty meal.
My daughter and myself just ate from here and everything was so good. The food was great and the people were so nice. The owner helped us pick what he thought would like most. Hands down a great place. We will definitely be back.

So I came to New York to visit and looked up West African food from the Mount Vernon, NY. The first time and came I ordered Jaloff rice and a few items. The food was so good I came back on December 28, 2025 to order Fufu and Goat soup. Can’t wait to go home or eat my fingers off. If you’re in the New York area, and you’re close to Mount Vernon, stop on by and order something. You will enjoy your food experience.
