Such a delicious meal!! The chefs/owners were so kind and gave us a tour of the pizza oven. Both of them have cooked every pizza since opening! The service was great. The pizza was so so good, can’t wait to come back

We stopped here for pizza after an 18 mile run. We just googled pizza close to where we were and this came up when we first went in. It was a little small, but it smelled delicious. The waitress offered us bread which was fresh baked and so delicious and then we each ordered individual small pizzas. However they were pretty big for small size. I had a cheese pizza with spinach. At first I thought it was a little overpriced, but it was definitely worth it. Absolutely the best pizza I’ve had in the area would definitely recommend. We also saw someone who had the Caesar salad and it looked amazing.

Went in looking for vegan and gluten free options. Mind blown, taste buds delighted. The broccoli rabe was exquisite. The gluten free pizza with a housemade almond crust and vegan cheese was crunchy and scrumptious. The red sauce on the eggplant parm and gf pasta OMG! The dishes people were being served on either side of our table looked to die for. What a find!

Such a cute pizza place! When you first walk in, the smell of deliciousness greet you! You choose the toppings that you like and the size, and they make it for you! We got prosciutto, arugula, hot honey pizza with red sauce! They have many great topping selections to experiment!

I am a local and let me tell you, this is the place where all the locals come, especially the restaurant workers and owners. I own a restaurant and a wine bar and I send folks here to have amazing food. Adam and Lauren are so sweet, kind and welcoming and their food is off the hook. I have never ever had a disappointing meal there and trust me I eat there a lot
I love that they are open late, I can go when I get out of work and sit down and enjoy an outstanding meal. Whatever the chicken special is, get it! Their pizzas are the best around but their menu items are also outstanding. Their chicken parm is the biggest and best in town, their salads are large and delicious and I love their stuffed clams and stuffed mushrooms. Their homemade pasta is also great but omg their homemade sourdough is the bomb! Now im hungry just thinking about their food. Don't miss this spot! You will see Adam and Lauren working hard in their open kitchen, they are aleays there with a smile.

If you're ever in New Paltz, do yourself a favor and stop by Apizza! — this mom and pop locally owned pizza spot is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth, charm, and the smell of fresh, handcrafted pizza coming right out of the coal oven. The passion the owners Adam and Lauren put into every aspect of this place is unmistakable — you can taste the love in every bite!

Their crust is the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh and thoughtfully chosen. Whether you're a fan of classic Margherita or like to explore more creative combinations, Apizza never disappoints.

What makes this place truly special is the family feel — it’s not just a pizza place, it’s a place where the community gathers, where locals are known by name, and where everyone is treated like part of the family.

Support small businesses like Apizza — they are the heart of New Paltz, and they’re making the best pizza around!

The pizza, chicken parm and bread here were amazing. They had high chairs and were patient with our toddlers who enjoyed watching the chefs making the pizza and bread in the open kitchen. There is a parking lot on the back but this place gets busy so make a reservation if you can!

Very good food but not great for small children

Simply the best pizza I have had in the Hudson Valley and even in NY. I can’t comment on the food because we only had the house salad(delicious) and a pizza.
I am a self proclaimed pizza snob. I want a thin, stiff crust with no flop, just the right amount of mozzarella judiciously applied and a delicious red sauce. I also want just the right amount of char. In other words, New Haven style but with a cooked sauce I detect that the red sauce on this pizza was not raw from can but slightly cooked so it still had a great fresh taste.
The atmosphere is hectic and tables are crowded together, because the pizza is so good.
They need to expand!

We have been coming here for a year now and the food is great as is the service. We discovered that they take reservations a few months ago and that’s a big plus or the wait can be very long.
This evening I called for a reservation at 5:30. The girl had to check if they had openings and came back to say that we would have to sit at the table with benches. It doesn’t sound scary, just maybe uncomfortable compared to cushioned seats. The problem isn’t the hardness of the bench. It’s literally a picnic table pushed up against the wall and you need to be a flexible person to “climb in”, so to speak. It’s actually dangerous. Someone will fall trying to sit on the bench against the wall.

I have two concerns. First is the safety- no senior citizens should be seated at that table. I am 75 and my husband is 77. We were there for an hour with our daughter and there were two empty tables for 4 that no one sat at for the entire time.

The table should be repurposed for outdoor occasions and a new table should be purchased. Business seems to be doing well enough to do that. Or use it for a group of 6 young people who are agile.

When I do return again, when I have recovered from this bad experience, if I am offered the table with the benches, I won’t be returning that evening.
