BLOWN AWAY! This is real Northern Italian cuisine: ample portions but not your Nonna saying "you're too skinny: mangia!" Pollo Di Anna & Pollo Di Leandra are not to be missed! Unfortunately the Vitello was a bit tough. Not certain if it's a sourcing issue or a prep issue. My wife said that she'll join the Pollo line next time. The house wines are great as is the service. Hop the river from Poughkeepsie and have a fantastic experience

This really is an exceptional restaurant. The quality of the food is top notch just like the one in Monticello but I have to say I like the atmosphere of this location better the renovated train station is very cool.

Ciao Bella in New Paltz has become a mid-week go-to as well as a special place for intimate weekend dinners with friends. The service, food, and overall experience is always consistent whether we sit at the bar, where we can always count on some familiar faces, or in the dining room, a lively mix of elegance and old world charm.

Was wowed the first time We ate there, took my daughter for dinner before she went back to college, service was extremely slow, ordered jumbo prawn shrimp cocktail, which was 4 large shrimp butterflies, to make them look bigger, the caprese salad tomato was bland, I had veal parm that came with very starchy mashed potatoes and undercooked broccoli, was expecting pasta, not sure if we will be back ?

I am amazed!!! What a great find in New Paltz. I have had some of the best Italian meals in Venice, Italy and in Little Italy in NYC and without exxception, Ciao Bella in New Paltz exceeded the best of all. Amazing food, excellent service, great music background, and what a gracious and knowledgeable host and not killer prices. This is a must see place for the best Italian food I have ever had.
We had a very uneven experience. It started with not being able to find the place. Signage was not great and GPS sent us to the wrong place. The service was very slow but they were pleasant. The food was very mixed. One appetizer was fantastic and one pasta entrée was poorly done. The other food was in between. What moved this from a four star to a three star review was that the dining room itself was extremely noisy. There are no curtains and the sound bounces off large glass, windows and flat walls. Two people in our party wear hearing aids, and they really struggled to hear. It might be fine for people that have completely normal hearing, but it wasn’t great for our group.
Celebrating a holiday dinner with friends was wonderful here. Vitello Martini was delicious. House Cabernet was good. Spinach salad yummy, as was the chocolate mousse, which was served as a slice. Decor is inviting, and the waitstaff friendly.

We recently hosted our company dinner at Ciao Bella and the evening could not have gone better. The owner was so wonderful to deal with throughout the entire planning process and all of our requests were satisfied above our expectations. The food was amazing and the service was the best. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening!
