We drove up two hours for headless Horseman and were trying to find a nice place to eat. After being rejected from other restaurants we found End Cut and Let’s try our luck here. When we walked in, we were asked if we had reservations we said no I thought wonderful we’re out of luck again. Until the owner himself Asked how many were in our party and then said That they will make room for us. They put us in a beautiful space and the staff working were so kind and welcoming. Two of my friends are pregnant and they were so both hungry and tired of being disappointed. So it was nice to see how Gracious everyone was at End Cut with them.
Now for the food let’s just say all you could hear from our table were sounds of enjoyment as well as how impressed we were with each dish. It was meant for us to end up at this Establishment and we couldn’t have been happier. We will be making this trip twice a year with reservations ahead of time.
We think everyone at End Cut once again for turning our even around and for send us off with happy full spirits. We shall see you all soon ?

Had an amazing dinner at End Cut Steakhouse in Ulster Park, NY. The beef short ribs were incredibly tasty, just melted in my mouth. They also served this fantastic ricotta with honey and warm bread that was to die for. The ambiance was perfect with a pianist playing classical music in the background. Loved the little touch of the grapefruit sorbet palette cleanser after the appetizer. Definitely a spot to check out if you’re in the area!

If you're looking for something cheap this is not the restaurant for you the prices are very high however the quality of the food is well worth it this is a restaurant that I will come to again but big due to the prices not as often as I would like they offer amazing dishes with flavor the staff is super friendly you do not have to dress up here but as I asked when I called it did say you cannot look like a farm animal with shorts and tank tops very understandable but when I was there I did see people in shorts and tank tops the food is just amazing though so worth the fine dining prices because the food is fine dining there's not too many places left like this used to go to plum bush in Cold spring and no longer exist this restaurant is a dying breed as far as people going to sit down and have an excellent meal my steak you didn't even need a knife to cut if you just melted in your mouth it was that good and I had the shrimp appetizer the shrimps are huge very very tasty

My husband and I come up to New Paltz once a year and make it a point to always have dinner at End Cut. I love the bread basket with fresh homemade ricotta and honey. I usually get the duck with cassis sauce...so delicious. My husband had the salmon that was cooked perfectly. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. It's one of our favorite restaurants!!
My girlfriend and I decided to come here for a date night and we couldn’t be happier with everything. We didn’t have a reservation but they were more than gracious in finding us a table. The service was more than excellent. Our waiter was open, honest, and knowledgeable about the menu. Brent(waiter) definitely gave us honest opinions on the menu and helped in making our decision easier with his information on specific menu items. Will definitely be going back to try more options.
Parking: Parking is limited but there could be more parking spaces that I am not aware of

not sure what all the hype is on these reviews here but food was at best 2 stars. very strong vinegar or wine flavor that overpowered the natural flavor of the food. steak came out extra heavily blackened while no mention of that on the menu. flavor of the filet was boring to put it lightly. demi glaze had consistency of an A-1 style steak sauce-odd but its flavor was fair-still not a good demi glaze. pork chop was not dry but definitely had a strong weird flavor of cheap wine or vinegar to mask something else, presentation was not great but rather something from a cheap chain restaurant. the restaurant water is fishy and they should not offer that or make their house drinks-sodas, ice or water bases with it, it is that bad- seriously.....yuk
owner greeted us at the door and seemed bothered at first greeting-needs some classes on hosting. Our host / server was nice and on top of things but was pushy to upsell at every stage of the meal from water, to appetizers to the ala carte sides of each plate and then again at dessert and drinks
curious why the drink menu at the desert menu had better drink options than the first drink menu that came out with the dinner offerings. and good lord specify which alcohol is used on your "specialty" drinks...not just say whiskey or vodka but rather which top shelf brand you intend to use.
chef came and checked in right about at the second to last bite of the meal, so not like if something was good bad or indifferent was gonna matter at that point.
save yourself the trip, there are far better places especially at his 5 star prices in a 2 star restaurant. that is honest but fair
Parking: very difficult location in front of a trailer park and right at an awkward intersection, parking lot needs attention and is full of potholes and loose dirt / crumbling of an old pave job.
not impressed at all.

Food was pretty good but considering that it is presented as a high end steak house I was somewhat expecting an amazing food experience. This was really the only reason why I rated the food a 3 but you won't be disappointed by any means. I could see myself going back. Additionally there aren't many high end dining options in the area either.

We are frequent diners to End Cut and have never had a less than excellent dish or dining experience. The food is high quality, creative, delicious and decadent. The service is top notch. We are made to feel comfortable and taken care of time after time. I know the Chef puts his whole heart and soul into his restaurant. It's a very hard business, it's hot in the kitchen, it's dealing with expectations and personalities and it's long hours.
I don't know a single person who would excel without failure when the whole world is allowed to judge, criticize their art and determine the appropriateness of each action or mood, any time, right out in public. I love Chef Jordan, Helen and all the staff that hustles to put forth amazing art regularly!

Food is very good maybe a 6 out of 10. We are very close to the CIA and NYC. Customer service by owner Jordan "DEPLORABLE"
We had a gift certificate that our daughter went out of her way to purchase from out if state because we had a great food experience. My boyfriend who is a connoisseur of food asked a question about tipping with regard to the gift certificate and the owner not only made a scene with his loud, obnoxious, condescending response, he embarrased the poor waitress.
If he didn't look so old we would have thought he was a new to the business. Absolutely no people skills.
Overall a halfway decent chef (a dime a dozen) but clearly ignorant and rude should take some courses in customer service skills. Maybe just read the book about what we learn in kindergarten.
Rude rude rude owner!

This place is a real gem. The food was excellent from beginning to end. The only complaint I had was the chef had a complete meltdown on someone from the kitchen and I found it to make an uncomfortable moment. The only other complaint is that they need to upgrade their air conditioning system. I would definitely return to dine at this establishment.
