Hands down the best sushi in New Paltz.Note: It is a small place so waiting for a table Fridays and Saturdays 6-8 takes a while. Also, when busy ambient noise can make it hard to hear each

Small Mom and Pop Sushi in the The town of New Paltz. Be sure to call and see how busy they are as sometimes you’ll be waiting an hour or two just to get a seat. The sushi is the best in town and other items on the menu don’t disappoint. Noteable mentions is the Teriyaki Steak with noodles and the Spicy Cold Noodles.

Terrible service. We waited for 15-20 minutes just to order food and almost 1 hour to finally have it on the table. The food was something ok but not maki rolls. they were just awful - falling apart in a dish when you try to take it, the rice was just not right type of rice for sushi and rolls, it was just like clay.Overall - just terrible

Okay so I really hate leaving bad reviews, but I was sick after I ate here, and it was maybe the worst sushi I've ever had, and I eat a lot of sushi, of all kinds. But actually, this place has scared me away from low-end sushi forever. I really wanted to love it, I love New Paltz, I loved the vibe in here so much, and wanted so desperately to come back. And I would, even, but just for sake and edamame, maybe...because that's all that's safe here. I won't go into a long, detailed explanation but we tried a bunch of different rolls, and they were all really, really bad. I ignored the bad service and flies all over me because I think the place has heart and ambiance and actually felt good to be in there...but the food was straight up poison fish. They need to know and you need to know. It's not expensive or pretentious at least. The two stars are for the ambiance, only. But buyer beware if it's quality sushi you crave.

First time visitors to New Paltz - we found a table for 6 in the splendid courtyard space. Service, food and atmosphere was excellent.

I’ve been coming here for decades. It’s been a staple of New Paltz forever and that’s for a reason. Always great food with friendly and attentive waitstaff.

It located very close by o 1-87 exit. The service is good and the waiters are very polite and friendly. There are so many rolls to choose from. Also, there are cooked dishes too. I can always ask for no spicy mayo on the sushi roll.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian rolls and some appetizers such as noodles and tofu.Kid-friendliness: There are cooked dishes and the chef can make the sushi roll without spicy mayo sauce.Parking: There are on street meter parking, and also free parking after certain time. During the peak season such as autumn foliage season, it will be crowded in that area and it may need longer time to find a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: There is outdoor patio seating, good for wheelchair to access. However, there are steps to the indoor seating, and the restroom is located in it. The restroom is too small for the wheelchair access.
