Was charged prices higher than what was on the menu and the sales tax was higher than it should have been.

2 out of 3 of the members of our group did not like the taste of the margaritas.

For some strange reason they did not have rice that was vegan (we were told it has chicken in it ), so they gave use puréed tan beans instead which tasted like baby food.

I was not provided with a napkin and after I could not get the attention of wait staff I had to ask my friend to tear hers in half.

This was the worst Mexican food experience I’ve ever had and I was surprised to see how popular this place was. Maybe we just all ordered the wrong thing ?

The food here used to be amazing. Not so much. Anymore. Very. Disappointed. Something definetly changed. Plus we were sitting next to the bathroom. People kept coming in that werent customers a d using it. Constantly standing next to me while I was eating. I reported this to staff. They did nothing. Im talking probably 20 people in 35 minutes.

Not sure what happened, but everything has changed. Used to come here all the time; it was authentic and delicious with homemade drinks and food. Now it's commercial- possible frozen food and Franks hot sauce on the table. The quality of food has gone wayy y down. Flavorless dishes and basic margaritas, nothing fancy and nothing to write home about. Don't think we'll be back. The location in Kingston was just as bad. I'm sorry to be writing this review, because it's a nice small business, but hopefully this review will bring the quality back to where it used to be.

I'm a server and bar tender for over 29 years so I speak from experience
I have given every single customer my attention. No matter what. I was left with no napkins , utensils, my food was dropped on the table & I didn't get a chance to say anything before the server was gone . Finally a different server came out to another table that I was able to get her attention & get actual service . I'm totally disgusted . Never felt more discrimination ever

There are several great Mexican restaurants in New Paltz and they are all very distinct. The unique dish I get every time when I go there is Molcajete which comes in a very hot black stone dish. There are a few kinds. I get the seafood one which has shrimp calamari and mussels in a creamy sauce with yellow rice on the side. My friend always gets the vegetable chili rellenos which she really enjoys. The decor is Mexican folk, the background music is Mexican as well. The service is attentive. The vibe is relaxed. Though the restaurant is not fancy, the food is above average with several unique tasty options, and it is plentiful. There are daily specials and a full menu which is worth browsing.

Quite literally one of the best places to eat in New Paltz. The people are really kind there and the food is AMAZING!! I highly suggest the chicken enchiladas and the tres leches cake to finish up your meal

The staff were very kind and knowledgeable about how to make their vegetarian dishes vegans. Guacamole was on point. Both the vegan-ized vegetable burrito and the tofu and avocado tacos hit the spot 👌

Food was fantastic and we enjoyed the outdoor seating as well. The flower garnishes were a lovely addition. Also they do a great job with vegetarian options that are super flavorful. I recommend the veggie molcajete and chili rellenos. The chipotle cream was delicious!
