Sorry, but chicken quesaeillas costing $15 a Piece when they aren't even that large is crazy. Quality is nothing like it was 5 years ago and the price is insane.

Way overpriced 15 dollars for a small burrito and 4.50 for a small side (literally 2 tablespoon worth) honestly save ur money and go to Chipotle or make ur own

I ordered salsa and chips. It was the worst salsa I ever had. The pieces of tomatoes were way too big and would fall off the chips. There were ZERO peppers in the salsa and it tasted like brushetta not salsa. UGH! Never going back. If you can't do salsa right.....forget about it.

Hard pass. As other reviews have mentioned, the rice is not aldente but RAW. Also the bean burrito lacked beans but had AMPLE rice. Bummer... I expected more for a $9 burrito... skip skip skip

I discovered this place in 2006 when it was literally a hole in the wall with several different homemade hot sauces and seating for three. The tacos were amazing back then. Fresh ingredients cooked to order in front of you on a 30 inch square grill by students from New Paltz college. It was the kind of place most tourists and a lot of locals seem to avoid. But, if you knew, you knew and you ate there as often as possible. Then Anthony Bourdain showed up and put it in a episode of his travel show. And all things changed. Much to the happiness of its owner and to the chagrin of the locals who were now told it could be up to a 75 minute wait to get take out. They added some more seating (now maybe six people) and after three tries and being told the wait time I gave up. Well I went back today and the place was still a hole in the wall, I honestly don't believe any remodeling has been done since I was last in there over 8 years ago and they are down to a choice of three sauces but THE TACOS ARE STILL PHENOMENAL! A little more expensive but considering how delicious and stuffed they are it's still a great deal. I had the Lunch Special - 3 different tacos: a fish, pork and chicken on blue corn soft tortillas. I wanted to lick the plate. $12! Worth every penny. This place could get a five star review if they updated the interior, maybe a coat of paint and some new tables but most people get it for take out so maybe I'm being picky. I will be going back soon!

Pretty horrid takeout experience today. Closer to 1.5 stars than 2. For the $12.50 price point, one would hope to receive rice that isn't massively undercooked, better-tasting and textured chicken, and a distribution of ingredients that doesn't see you eating mouthful after mouthful of cold tortilla and black beans.Good size meal I suppose, if that matters to you, but what mattered much more to me was the quality instead of the quantity, especially for the price. It was comparable to the major chain burrito spots in size only, which is a shame because I'd much prefer to support local. I couldn't get through half of this meal because of its failings, so the size of the item is irrelevant in the end. There are much better options in the area, so be mindful of that fact before you choose this location.

Holy Moly delicious Shrimp Burrito! Was in the area and decided to check this place out. It's very small and next to a popular bar ( which I didn't visit) lol. Little area to sit outside. I'm Not really into burritos but decided to try this shrimp burrito and oh my Lanta was this the best burrito I've ever tasted!! The gentleman who works there suggested it and I'm so glad I decided to try it. Rice, beans, cilantro, a delicious dressing ( but don't remember but was different but good)and corn. ( May have been more ingredients but don't remember) haha. But seriously if you in the area, check this place out! So yummy in the tummy!

I usually enjoy Mexicali Blue food, but I just got a subpar DoorDash order. The burritos were cold, soggy, and bland. The lime chicken burrito had no lime flavor. My salad arrived without dressing, and there was no herb sour cream on the side for the salmon burrito, as I had requested. Since DoorDash is pricey, I won't be ordering Mexicali Blue that way anymore.

Delicious burritos. More flavorful than the generic fast casual everyone frequents these days. Stopped on the way home. Will come again.

This was the worst Mexican meal I've ever had. First off, the guy taking my order assumed I wanted a full guacamole instead a half size. Granted, I did not specify but he then blamed me. Then, I got my food, about 20 minutes later. The chips were burnt- the tips were literally black. The guacamole was bland and the burrito had a weird hot sauce taste to it. The tortilla used was dry and I only ate it because they charged $12.50 just for that. Bad service and bad food- hopefully it'll improve.

This is a takeout review. I will try this place again and review it from they're restaurant to be fair. Not a fan so far. Everything was soggy and had no flavor. Taco shells were soggy and were also stale on the corners. Tacos and burritos both. Took forever for the order as well.I will try the same dish in the restaurant next time for a better fair review.

Gross......just gross. I paid over $32 for two burritos and they were both nasty....flavor was lacking, pulled pork was tough, cheese looked and tasted fake,, etc. I ate about a quarter of my burrito but only because I was starving. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here

Pretty awful. Sooo disappointed. Burritos were uncooked and cold.My enchiladas were soggy with uncooked cheese. The rice and beans tasted like metal. A waste of $45 plus dollars. Tasted like it came out of a can. Do not waste your money. They used be good years ago. Not anymore.

They refused to give me a cup of water and said they would only sell a water bottle "We don't do that here." This is actually illegal as restaurants that have a liquor license are obliged to provide patrons with free tap water, but whatever I had a water bottle.Inside it's incredibly cramped and uncomfortable. There is a weird L shaped table with only 4 seats close together. Generally all the food costs around $5-$7 more than it should. But it does taste good. If you don't want free water and don't care about your dollar to value ratio then sure go here: the food's good.
