Had dinner with 8 people, owner worked w my group for pre fixe menu. mussels and snapper were amazing!
We had our micro wedding at Runa Bistro, and it was absolutely perfect. Clare and her team went above and beyond—everything from the service to the atmosphere to the incredible food. Our guests are still raving about it. Can’t recommend Runa enough for a special event or a memorable meal!
Excellent dinner - the salmon dish was delicious. Great atmosphere with live music outdoors on Saturday night. I highly recommend.
A lovely find. My friend wanted to check this place out and it did not disappoint. We found the staff to be delightful, kind and very helpful.
The cocktails were quite unique and delicious! It was very difficult choosing and I’ll need to visit again to try others.
I really liked the beets with seasoned almonds and blue cheese and the goat cheese salad, my second favorites were the rainbow trout and Provençal dumplings. The escargot was decent, but not a highlight.
We sat on the patio and just couldn’t get over how cute and sweet this place is… a nice find for a tasty time.
We loved this restaurant. It’s the real deal. Food was delicious and the staff and ambiance was sophisticated and friendly. This is our go to when traveling north. And traveling south!
The food was amazing and we absolutely loved the atmosphere in a historic home
Portions are generous. The crab in cream puff pastry was the best. Asparagus was perfectly cooked but overpowered by the Caesar, beets were overpowered by the blue cheese. Clams were fine but could have used more crostini bc the bread was better used for the blue cheese from the beets. Trout was mostly tasteless, poorly seasoned overall. The clafoutis was ok but not very flavorful-ice cream was good. No dinner specials on a Monday night, only 1 mocktail. Service was attentive but generally lacking. We split everything yet weren't given a second set of plates. Napkin taken away and never replaced before dessert. No, wouldn't return.
Came here for a rainy dinner in April. Some of the dishes were amazing (shout out to the little neck claims and roasted chicken!) but the pork we ordered seemed like they forgot salt/seasoning. Desserts were fantastic, highly recommend the chocolate pot du creme! We didn’t get cocktails, but for a French leaning spot we were a little surprised that the wine list was more limited.
While it was very cute inside, it was also quite cold, and we kept our jackets on for most of the evening.
Overall our experience was solid— good but not great, and at their price point I expected a little more.
Beautiful restaurant inside and out, such a charming place because it looks like it was modeled inside of a house and the decor is great. I loved the drink La Belle Lune or something along those lines, unique flavor and sweet aftertaste. The service was good and the food was so rich and yummy! Definitely a big portion for my entree and the sauce was amazing on it. The brownie with ice cream was the cherry on top, we loved it (So much I forgot to take a pic until midway through it). Perfect little spot we’ve been meaning to try and it was a great choice for my birthday dinner ✨
All of the food comes so close to being good and then the sides let you down. Goat cheese tartine is delicious, the side salad needs a hint of sweetness. The duck confit is amazing, not sure what to do with the cup of heavily pickled cabbage. The salmon is cooked perfectly but that sauce is an unappetizing color. We tried the signature cocktails as well, and those were also so-so, not very balanced. All in all, pretty expensive for the quality.

always a fab time! I love that the menu rotates, I’ve come for a few special occasions in New Paltz and it’s always a pleasure.
Def important to know it’s not about speed here butrather enjoying company in a gorgeous little setting with friendly staff, your friends and some of the best french-style plates you’ve ever had!

Slow service. Salmon was undercooked. Steak was overcooked. Unimaginative menu. Same price point as Garvan’s but MUCH worse.

The place looks beautiful, but unfortunately we got here at 7:30 , online says closes at 8:30 and they couldn’t serve us. Should have that on webpage .. so if you plan to go here call ahead ..
Stumbled on this lovely bistro and were delighted by the food, service, and inviting, beautifully lit outdoor setting. We ordered the rigatoni ragout, warm chèvre salad, carrot curry soup, and escargots. Tahini brownie for dessert. Everything was beautifully prepared, fresh and delicious. The young wait staff was super thoughtful and attentive, making some special items for our toddler and supplying her with a collection of colored pencils and a drawing pad. The restaurant itself is enchanting and serene, with large outdoor area and cozy indoor dining. Would highly recommend for a date night, convivial dinner with friends…or even a family night out.
Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming to our slightly rambunctious toddler and accommodated our special requests.

I shared the grilled beef appetizer and the shrimp in lemon butter appetizer. The beef was not grilled on all sides and was quite raw though what was grilled tasted great. The shrimp was boring and did not have the satisfying flavor of fresh shrimp I would have expected. I also had the Moroccan chicken. The chicken tasted like it was not marinaded and had little of any Moroccan character. The flavor of the chicken and cooking of the chicken was not impressive at all. I liked the Cole slaw with chickpeas under the chicken. My wife had the eggplant tart and the grilled Bronzino. She liked both. Not sure I would go back, but my wife would want to.
