Food was tasty and decent prices, but our entire family had upset stomachs after eating here.

The miso soup was the best part of the meal, had lots of fresh scallions in it. I ordered one and got two so that was super nice, loved that they came in coffee cups - super easy to drink :)
The sushi on the other hand was nothing super special, fish didn’t have much flavor and the ratio of fish to rice was more rice than fish on some of the rolls. For the eel avocado roll I only really tasted avocado and the eel sauce was so bland and watery. The alaska roll was pretty good as well as the yellowtail scallion but again i tasted more scallion then fish.
I like the sushi but I’m just grossed out by this, why is my misu soup in a coffee cup?!

I was eating a Tokyo Sushi this past Sunday (1/11/25). I placed my order, and while I waited, I noticed the Sushi Chef was visibly sick: coughing, sneezing, shivering, etc.
I felt concerned about illness exposure, but I told myself that he must have allergies because no business owner would allow their employees prepare RAW fish when they're visibly ill.
Flash forward to today: I have been so sick for the last two days that I can hardly get out of bed.
I am disappointed that an establishment the I have loved for years would disregard the health of their employees and their customers. The restaurant's management has a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy environment for the people who come through their doors, and it didn't happen.
I will not be returning.
I go there for the hot pepper roll. Otherwise, it's a solid sushi sashimi spot.

I’ve never been here although I have been eating in restaurants in New Paltz for over 20 years. I’m so happy that I stopped in. The portions are huge and the food was very, very good. The Bento box was enough for two people to share. My son’s chicken katsu also could easily feed two people. The service was outstanding. Props to the waitress from Queens, I’m so sorry I forgot your name, but you are pleasant, friendly, and super efficient! We will be back!

Picked up an order, and unfortunately they forgot 2 special rolls. I realized this when I got home. Called them immediately and 3 times afterwards to rectify this to get a refund on what they charged but they haven’t made it right. Aside from mediocre sushi, they shouldn’t hustle customers like this. Shameful, plenty of great places to eat in New Paltz.

Super busy. But the food is good, wait was fine, and staff friendly. They have other food besides sushi here, which is nice for the people who don't like sushi.

Food wasn't spectacular but it was okay. Some dishes are better than others. Service was great, very attentive but then again the place was empty lol. Atmosphere was kind of dull, nothing special. Would i go again? Probably not.

Sushi is horrible. I ordered two special rolls. Couldn’t eat one at all, the other was bad.
