I usually go to the 16 Handles location in White Plains, which is always clean, friendly, and a great experience. However, I decided to visit the New Rochelle location recently, and unfortunately, it was disappointing.
While my 4-year-old daughter was eating her froyo, she found a piece of tape in her mouth. I immediately informed the employee — not to complain or request a refund, but to make them aware so they could check and clean their machines for future customers. Instead of acknowledging the issue, the worker brushed it off and said the tape probably came “from the wall,” which made no sense and came across as dismissive.
I truly hope management takes cleanliness and food safety more seriously here, because this experience was unacceptable- especially compared to the consistently excellent service at the White Plains location.

Absolutely love 16 Handles! The service is always top-notch, everyone, especially the amazing employees working there, are so friendly and efficient. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is clean, fresh, and running smoothly. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and it really shows in how the place is run. It’s one of those spots where you feel good just walking in. Highly recommend for a sweet treat.

16 Handles never disappoints—amazing froyo flavors, fresh toppings, and super friendly staff. On my last visit, I noticed some paint chipping on the ceiling, but I saw that they’re already working on repairs, which shows they care about the space and their customers' experience. It’s great to see a business that stays on top of things. Still my go-to spot for frozen yogurt!

Dina and her team go the extra mile, decorating the store for every holiday with so much attention to detail that it feels like a celebration every time you walk in. But what really sets this place apart is how they make customers feel like family. Dina features pictures of local kids and families on a digital display, creating a fun and personal connection with the community. The walls are even decorated with framed school shirts and memorabilia, making it clear that this is a place that supports and celebrates New Rochelle.
