Ava Ava is cute and that's where the good part ends. I went with a party of 4. We were sat at about 1 o'clock, given one menu then got it taken away from us because “that menu is no longer valid” and given an overpriced brunch menu instead. We ordered our food no later than 1:45. We sat, and sat until about 3 o'clock before the server came back from dancing in the front with the rest of his colleagues to acknowledge that our food was still on the way. Our food comes and nobody got anything that they actually ordered. I ordered chicken and waffles and was given pancakes and chicken tenders. My friend ordered braised oxtail and was given two pieces of oxtail on a big dry bed of grits. My other friend ordered tres leches french toast and received toasted bread with fruits on it I guess. At that point we waited too long and had a hungry child with us so we sat and ate. Don't get me wrong it tasted good for something we didn't actually order. They threw in one free fatty steak for the three of us to share and then disappeared into the abyss of loud music and dark rooms once again. We got our bill and it immediately all made sense. Who is going to provide good customer service when the gratuity is already included. They get a certified tip at the end of the day, I would go dance with my coworkers instead of helping the guests too if I was them. If you're actually looking for food to eat skip Ava Ava but if you want to just dance in the small dark space with the employees then by all means go for it. I personally would never recommend it.
From the moment I walked in, AVA Restaurant Bar & Lounge gave pure tropical luxury. The décor is stunning gold accents, floral ceilings, and warm lighting that makes you want to sit back and stay awhile.
I started with the Coconut Shrimp, which were perfectly golden and crispy with just the right touch of sweetness from the dipping sauce. The tostones were cooked to perfection crisp on the outside, soft inside, and beautifully presented with an orchid garnish.
The music, service, and ambiance were all on point. Everyone was welcoming, the vibe was chill yet lively, and the attention to detail in both presentation and flavor made it such a memorable dining experience. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in the area tropical, elegant, and full of flavor. 🌺✨

I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and it has been great with the exception of the last 2 times. The last time I went, it was for dinner with my father and our server took more than 30 mins to give us our appetizer, our drinks were received AFTER dinner, and the dinner took almost 40+ mins to come out. However, I thought this was just a bad day. Fast forward to this past Sunday and I make a reservation for 6 ppl. The food and drinks were great and it seemed they really redeemed themselves. Welp, the issue arose when the server didn’t allow us to split checks. Fine. He said we can split it on cards so we wrote down what amount goes on each of the 3 cards. Somehow the server took it upon himself to charge random amounts on the cards. It wasn’t even split evenly. So we have him void those transactions and show him again the amounts that are meant to be charged on each card. He comes back with the receipts and still has not charged the correct amount. He gave himself an extra $2 tip on a bill that already had automatic gratuity included. It’s dishonest and poor form. That was my first time bringing that group there and I won’t be back because the server played with everyone’s money and tipped himself. I disputed the charge with my card BUT if you are going to go, make sure to use cash only.

The lamb chops were rich in flavor, but at $45, they felt a bit overpriced. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, where the bass was noticeably strong—meanwhile, the front sound system left something to be desired. The drinks were excellent, though I wish the food menu offered a wider variety. All in all, I'd return to enjoy the great drinks, lively music, and sports atmosphere.
This was probably the worst experience in dining I've had in a long time. I had a $40 churrasco steak that tasted like nothing. My partner had a chicken with vegetables that have absolutely no flavor to it. We both did not have the heart to tell the server. We were completely dissatisfied with our meal, and we will never go back there again.
The staff are very pleasant and friendly. Our server Luis was attentive and helpful. The music and DJ was great. This definitely is more of a lounge versus a restaurant vibe and the food reflected that. The food was mediocre but great presentation. This is definitely a place to have drinks, not so much an eating experience.
It was over rated and too loud. The host was super nice but the overall set up was not good. The drinks were week and you needed to be drunk to enjoy that place
The food was not great. Especially since it serves Latin, carribbean, foods. Nothing had taste it was a great disappointment to the party of 8 people we had. The Salmon was tasteless, the steak was tender but also tasteless. We were not happy whatsoever Especially since we spent over $800.00 drinks, appetizers, and our meal was not worth it. The best part about the restaurant was them singing happy birthday and the music. Our meals were like on a time delay, each meal came out different times. The atmosphere was lovely, the music was on point for sure.
the wait staff was very attentive and the food was delicious! We had brunch and the ambiance was really nice. We could hear ourselves talk but also enjoyed the music.
I had the Henny wings, guava jerk chicken, and non-alcoholic mango drink. All of it was delicious. Really great vibe.

I definetly would go back. The ambience was good. The happy hour menu had a good amount of items to try. The pricea were excellent. The drinks were strong and nice. They didnt hold back.
Tried this spot out last Sunday. Wasn't too busy and service was very good. Music was good, drinks were good and food was decent. My only comment about the food is that it needs a little more flavor. Overall the ambience was nice. I would go here again. Try the Lychee Martini!!
Had a great time at this spot! The food was really good—fresh, flavorful, and came out hot. We went for the bottomless brunch and it did not disappoint. The drinks kept flowing, and the live DJ gave the whole place an upbeat, fun vibe. Perfect for a weekend outing with friends. Definitely planning to come back!
After seeing post online I was excited to go and try the restaurant out. I was completely disappointed. Food was not good point blank.
Great place! Enjoyed my birthday. Everything else was great. The service however wasn't the best waiter seemed to forget about us before we even ordered and during the time and took forever to give us the check at the end after we asked multiple times. It's unfortunate because we are from CT and that was our first experience.
