The pizza was mediocre a little bit flavorless but definitely tasted fresh. The eggplant Parmesan was excellent. The sodas were flat, no carbonation at all.

I am trying real hard to like this restaurant, but after 3 attempts, I can only give La Rosa 2 stars. The portions are extremely small for the price. I recently ordered, what I thought was a substantial amount of food for 5 adults and the employee who took my order confirmed the quantity of main side dishes would more than enough to feed a group of 5. She couldn’t have been more incorrect! When I opened the containers, I said “You have got to be kidding me.” The pizza restaurant we frequent in town, put La Rosa to shame. To add insult not only was the penna vodka dry and tasteless, but they used rigatoni pasta for penna vodka! The pickup was an early Sunday evening, hence before the dinner rush, and our eggplant was still dried out as if it had been sitting out for quite sometime. And add insult, when placing my order for bread, which in all of my years dining in a restaurant is a common request. Not here , I was charged for over baked pizza dough, which was supposed to resemble your normal Italian bread, this could be further from the truth. In all fairness, I will say their thin crust pizza is good, but not in the same league, as pizza found on Arthur Ave.Bon Appetite!

Gotta go back and try the pizza maybe thats their forte. The Chicken Parm was crisp on the outside but chicken was leaning more towards dark meat inside and maybe they cooked it with or near had a fish scent! Had that off taste. The sauce also was very spicy didnt expect that. This place has been in repertoire for years going back my mom used to go there in the 1950s so bit nostalgic!

This place is a gem. Pizzas are fantastic as are the pasta dishes. Wings are also top notch.

I've reviewed this spot before when trying their delivery, which is great. Tonight, my husband and I dined in. It was even better! This place is definitely mid-Atlantic. Not quite northeastern/New England. But big wooden bar, large, spacious, high wooden booths. Big Christmas lights hanging along the mirror. You can see the white tile pizza kitchen in the back. Young people, laid back and cool, as servers. This is a neighborhood kind of place. We had the Margherita pizza, which was crispy, hot, and delicious. We also had the bolognese pasta, made with fusili lunghi buco, beef, soffritto bolognese, and cold ricotta. The pasta was the perfect al dente, the beef was well seasoned, and the flavors were quite unexpected, but very good. We also had the arancini which was crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and served with a tasty marinara sauce. This spot has several types of pizza, pasta, salad, and parms. Service is awesome. Love the vibe of this spot. Delivery is good, dining in is better.

Good and tasty pizzas from southern Italian. It is a hole in the wall establishment hidden in a one way alley, but the search is well worth your effort. Fast and friendly service, you can bring your own wines for a minimal.corkage fees. Their pizza has more vegetables toppings selection than other places. You can also order other menu items. Parking is a challenge and recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We plan to repeat when in the area. Enjoy..

My wife and I have had this place on our list for a while now and finally decided to stop by. We had our baby in tow and the young man who greeted and served us was very accommodating in trying to get us set up comfortably. Upon entering I loved the old school pizza parlor atmosphere and the fact that you can see and smell the wood they use for the pizzas. Once we settled in we decided to start off with some drinks, my wife ordered a Vodka Basil Lemonade and I ordered a Kentucky Mule. Our server forgot to add the vodka to my wife's lemonade but when we mentioned it he came over with a shot glass full of vodka on the house! The drinks were really good with a nice midday kick to them! For starters we ordered some of their more popular dishes, the roasted beat and ricotta salad and the arancini. The salad was huge but tasted very light and fresh. I think I'm slowly becoming addicted to beets and this salad added to that addiction! The arancini was one of the best ones I've had, perfectly fried, the outside was nice and crunchy and the inside was super soft and moist. The red sauce that accompanied it was really good as well. For our main we decided to try the meatball pizza and it did not disappoint! The pizza was cooked perfectly, definitely one of the best wood fired pizzas I've had! I cannot wait to go back and try their other pizzas and dishes as I hear that they have a pretty darn good chicken parmesan. As a newbie I did not know you could park in the back and walk right in. I ended up parking in their back lot but walking around the block, served as my exercise for the day!

The food at Pizzeria La Rosa is simply the best. From the mozzarella to the rigatoni alla vodka to the pizza to the ITALIAN DOUGHNUTS (best in my opinion) - you will not be disappointed. They’re always trying new things and some truly wonderful specials. Matt and the entire team always make you feel at home. If you haven’t checked this place out, you’re truly missing out on the best.
