Had a quick sit down breakfast here, had the bacon egg and cheese on an english muffin with a side of corned beef hash. Everything was good, exactly what I would expect for a diner.

Tried to go to this place while visiting New Rochelle. My wife and I were walking around and got a bag of chips to munch on. Went in to the diner and were told we couldn’t bring outside food. We were not actively eating the chips, the bag was closed and in my hand but the owner refused to seat us because of it. They did not sell chips and we told him our intent was to order full meals for each of us and the chips were only a snack while we walked around. He continued to tell us that no outside food or drinks are allowed and refused to seat us. I am giving the restaurant 2 stars based on the fact that the food looked good but never got a chance to try it. I could understand had I walked in with a McDonald’s bag and was only going to buy food for 1 person while the other ate food brought in or if I had food that could’ve reasonably been bought at the establishment. Restaurant was empty and we would’ve been the only ones eating so I was confused why they refused to serve us.

Customer service top tier, very welcoming when I walked in. Grits, omelette, and turkey bacon was made well!! I literally was so happy because I woke up with a craving for these foods and everything tasted great and fresh 🥰 will be back for sure

The food was good but the hours are ridiculous. What diner doesn't open until 8am every day? They do. The latest a diner that serves breakfast should be open is 7 am. People have jobs in the city.

This diner needs to upgrade its food to stay in business. It can't compete with the New Rochelle Diner and other diners in the area. The portion size is smaller and the prices have gone up.
I give 1/5 Stars for the Disappointing Experience at Splendid Dinner 🤢
There is nothing splendid about this dinner. I went for brunch yesterday with my child and was disgusted. The food was overpriced and lacking in value. For $45, I expected a lot more.
Here are some specific issues I encountered:
- I ordered one wrap for myself and one for my child, but they didn't even come with any sides. - They charged extra for sauce. - 1 stack of 3 pancakes & The syrup tasted weird. - They only gave one napkin. - I ordered 1 large orange juice, but the worn-out plastic cup looked more like a regular 8oz cup.
To top it off, the restaurant had a strong, unpleasant odor reminiscent of a dirty, wet mop.
Given the poor quality and value, I only left a $2 tip. I would have gotten more for my money across the street at Applebee's, and spent less than $45. I will never go back to Splendid Dinner & waste my money. The experience was disappointing and overpriced.

My wife and I have ordered from this place since moving to new rochelle. We always had food delivered always tipped the ladies well and we never fussed about the mistakes made on our orders like sending pork to a Muslim household. My wife placed an accidental order to the restaurant thinking it was our local Friday night spot. The owner took the order, repeated the order, and proceeded to place the order even though somethings requested are not even sold by Splendid, like the Espresso martini she ordered. My wife realized her mistake and tried to correct it and pay for the food anyway. The owner at the counter was hostile and rude to my wife and has said we can no longer place orders. Mind you it was an honest mistake that could have been resolved. It feels very racist and discriminatory and we will be following up with further recourse. This is just a heads up before you go in to eat… it’s also not the cleanest inside. Very sad that it came to this and I’m very disappointed by the outcome.
