We were fans from the beginning of the original location. We waited outside for a table often before they expanded. We have visited the new location twice. Such a disappointment. They have cut costs by using cheaper ingredients. Burgers are not handmade. Tatchos have a tasteless cheese sauce instead of fresh melted cheese. We won't be back unless they decide to bring back the original recipes.

This food spot has been in New Rochelle for many years and has recently relocated from downtown New Ro to the north end of New Ro. Went for dinner on a Thursday, got there around 6pm, just before it got busy. Our server was a young kid, who looked a little scared. It looks like the menu is the same as before and there was also a specials menu that had some good options. One person in our party ordered tots with their meal, but they were not as good as I remember them. All the other food we ordered for the meal was very good. I believe there are 5-6 tables as well as some counter space to sit at. The parking situation is better than downtown, with a free lot now available at the location.

Used to really love this place. And then. The move. And here we are. Chicken strips turned into I don’t know what.
Lobster roll (with a picture of plentiful lobster online) was a quarter bite of lobster. Maybe.

Blackened Chicken salad was under seasoned and under cooked chicken on top of something. Some old salad. What a shame.
Good luck! And don’t sweat it. I’m not eating here anymore.

I can’t say enough incredible things about the Wooden Spoon’s catering today. Based on the number of people we had they said The Wagon would be the best fit for our party. They came to our house and set up all the cooking in our driveway. Christina and Luis were amazing! She set up all the beautiful trays in our kitchen, as well at cutlery, napkins, and plates. Luis cooked and Christina stocked all the trays. Luis stayed for about 2.5-3 hrs prepping, cooking and restocking the food. We had the fried chicken, corn on the cob, coleslaw, burgers, hot dogs, shrimp boil, and Mac and cheese. Every dish was better than the next. What an amazing experience for my daughter’s christening and first birthday party. Such a great choice for busy mom’s! Amazing service from booking, cooking, to clean up. The absolute best! Definitely give them a shout for your next event!

Waiters were nice. Decor was fine, but the food was awful!!! I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and was grossly disappointed. Meatloaf just tasted like bread, mashed potatoes were watery and flavorless, and the gravy had a weird processed aftertaste to it. Nothing seemed to even be seasoned with salt or pepper. I politely asked the waiter to take the food after 3 bites since the food was bad, and was taken back when I saw the charge still on the bill. Charged $20 for meatloaf that was wretched and sent back. Never wasting my money here again.

The steak sandwich was tender and very flavorful, the stinger sandwich was crispy and juicy. Everything we had was flavorful, the frosé was good too. We went on a Saturday at 7:00pm and it was basically empty in there so we got seated right away. Great low key spot for a cheap but delicious bite.
