From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a very Youbg lady, she introduced herself as Lexi. The service by Lexi was exemplary and the care taken to make each dish ordered was fabulous!!!I haven’t had Puerto Rican food this delicious in over 30 years!!I want to go back asap, and I hope they are very successful!!!Amazing!!RB

The food was not good, I’m sad to say. I really wanted to like this place but i feel like i would be doing them a disservice by not telling them how terrible the food was. The pork chops were flavorless and poorly cooked (not raw) but almost like they were smoked.. it was strange. The arroz con gandules was not bad. The tostones needed salt, the alcapurrias tasted sour.. and the beans were way too watery. I pray that they find a new chef and they fix the food ??

We have eaten there several times and the food is always on point! It’s a piece of genuine traditional Puerto Rican food! Last time we had stuffed mofongo and churrasco; the variety of empanadas is amazing; highly recommend getting some cheese and guava for dessert and some quesitos to take home! Thanks for sharing a little bit of cultura!

We had a wonderful dining experience at this beautiful restaurant located in New Windsor NY. The ambiance was nice with an island feel decor and Latin music playing in the background. The waitress was super friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the roasted pernil, maduros, arroz con gandules, some juices, and finished off with an amazing pastry with cheese, guava, and powdered sugar. All the food was delicious and made to perfection. Even, the owner himself came over to our table chatted with us and checked to make sure everything was good. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood of Latino island food and flavor. Support our local businesses and not the chain restaurants.

Parking: Plenty of parking

This is a regular spot for us. It is absolutely the best Puerto Rican restaurant in town. The music is lively, the space is beautiful and the service is fantastic. We Love the empanadas , the pollo a la plancha and the churasco. This place is a Must visit.

Went for lunch. It wasn’t $12. The pernil has 0 flavor as well as everything else I ordered beside ginger ale. The maduros aren’t sweet at all. Very disappointed because ethe restaurant looks nice. I rather eat from cilantro(nellys) in new Windsor.

Great, authentic PR food, at a very reasonable price! The tostones we’re done just right. The red snapper with the chimichurri sauce was excellent. And the stuffed mofongo delicious!

It truly hurts my heart a bit to not write a 5 star review on this restaurant because I would love for it to thrive and become the staple for Puerto Rican food that this area desperately needs but it’s not there yet. Going here for about a year now whenever we don’t want to cook but want “our food,” I am finally writing the review hoping that it will help in some way. At first, the food that we purchased such as the pernil, mofongo and alcapurrias were okay to good depending on when you bought them. We didn’t particularly enjoy anything else since that time (and we’ve tried most of the menu) and to me and our family members, it seems to be a seasoning issue. Things tend to be either over salted or under seasoned but usually just not right (and the food ends up not tasting like “Puerto Rican” food.) For example, the steaks used in sandwiches and the ground beef and the rice are underseasoned. The shrimps are very salty. The tostones aren’t usually the best tasting and we live in the area/ make them often so we know that good plantains exist around here. And for the prices/value it’s just hard at this point to want to go back, although, I still want to support this restaurant. Another note is that almost every time you order something they are out of the item you order so it just takes away from the experience. There was a little Puerto Rican shack that opened up in town that closed due to licensing issues but the flavor was where it needed to be. I wish in some way a collab could happen or even if my mom could give some pointers because her food is to die for. There’s definitely potential but it’s not there yet.

I was craving alcapurria's and had two as an appetizer based on great reviews 2 years ago. I was bit disappointed, the masa was tasteless and there was very little meat. I had the mofongo with pernil and was not pleased. The pernil was ok but the the mofongo was bland and just fell apart as soon as I stuck the fork in it. My wife had the bistec encebollado which usually is a generous piece of steak smothered with onions instead she got strips of steak that you get when ordering pepper steak. It was very tough and also lacked seasoning. Prior to Covid we visited this restaurant and the food was always on point. Don't know what happened since but I hope that they were just having a bad day. The ambiance of their new location is lovely and the staff very pleasant.

Aside from the server missing my mofongo order, it was great. Food is delicious & authentic, clean place, and friendly staff.

I have been to Mi Sazón Boricua 4 maybe 5 times. The food is incredible and flavorful. The portions are big and their prices are reasonable. I took some friends, a married couple to Mi Sazón Boricua and they raved about the ambiance and its authentic tasty Puerto Rican food. We discovered they will be getting their liquor license soon. I can't wait to dine there again and have a glass of wine with my meal. I recommend if you haven't tried their food yet, please go. Everybody is friendly.
