I really like this place. This is third time I come back trying their food and drink. The service was good. Everyone are nice, first time when I came the guy bring me my latte was very nice but I was into something else and ignore him. But the drink are good 👍. And cheesecake matcha was my favorite. My third vacation to NEW YORK and waiting outside are WORTHY. Hope one day if I have a chance to come back to NEW YORK. I still seeing him and have him make the latte for me again. Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️

The basque cheesecakes were amazing and the ice creams were also at the right amount of flavor!
I did enjoy the bitterness in the matcha latte that i got with minimal sweetness.

Best matcha basque cheesecake in the world; would love to try their hojicha basque next time. Ice cream selection is top tier, my favorite was their hojicha ice cream. Carlos (their bar manager, i believe) is so nice and accommodating! Loved him. Great price and amazing quality.

solid matcha, i like the interior and the service was nice. matcha is very rice and lots of powder in one cup. its a nice experience. there will be a wait at the door someone is there to control the amount of people in the cafe.

I was never a big matcha person but you really can’t not love this place. The design is beautiful, the service is friendly and welcoming, the baristas are absolute artists and the matcha drinks & pastries are delicious. Loved every second!

12 Matcha is such a good vibe — great place with excellent matcha! Totally worth it, but be ready for a bit of a line.

Jack was an expert who meticulously whisked our drinks to perfection and we loved it so much that we came back again later that day and had Grace as our expert barista! We loved them and truly appreciated their attention to detail - they were also an immense pleasure to talk to :) Please take care of them and send them to Japan in April 2026!!! They’re the best!!!

Absolutely incredible service and the matcha is out of this world. I’m a matcha connoisseur and have spent time traveling across Japan trying to find the best matcha. This lives up to it. Worth the line (it actually moves pretty fast and I even waited in the rain) 5/5

I took a long way to get to this nice Matcha place. Out of my plan, I just added a croissant to my order, and I really enjoyed both: a plain croissant and an iced matcha latte. The staff was generally kind. Jack, one of their staff members, was really good at explaining their traditional Matcha-making process. The only thing you need to expect is to wait in line. The indoor sitting area is nice but at the same time not very efficient for those who want to sit longer. Thanks 12

A must-visit for matcha lovers!
The drinks are high quality and prepared right in front of you, which makes the experience even better.
The flavor is quite intense — they use a generous amount of matcha, so it’s rich and slightly bitter. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might be a bit too strong for some people.
The place has a clean, minimalist vibe. It does get crowded, so expect a bit of a wait, especially on weekends.
The desserts were the real highlight for me — the matcha cheesecake and hojicha cheesecake are both absolutely delicious: balanced and beautifully flavored.

Definitely top 3 matcha in all of New York.
12 matcha has an attention to detail that is so refreshing and often seen in places like Korea, Japan, and Malaysia that I’m so glad to see finally come to New York. From their water purification to their privately sourced matcha, I’m so impressed.

As a matcha lover and connoisseur I can’t recommend this place enough.

When I visited I was explaining to a friend who had never had matcha how it’s made and good brands etc. The owner happened to be there and overheard and was really cool! He added some of his own knowledge and insight and it was a very nice chat! On top of that, the staff are also very good at making and immersing you into the creation of the matcha. I enjoyed watching each step and enjoyed the taste even more.

I got the cheesecake to go with the matcha and I LOVED it. I normally don’t like cheesecake so this was extra amazing. My friend who had never had matcha became a matcha over after that as well.

The only thing I can think of that isn’t great is the amount of table. With its popularity it was difficult to find a seat but it wasn’t bad after some people left. Just be prepared to wait and maybe if you’re not solo, get one person to secure a seat while you wait for your drinks.
