16 Handles has a great variety of help-yourself toppings and the yogurt and ice cream flavors are delicious. Their store is clean and well run and it's comfortable and welcoming.

I love how there's different flavors to choose from and so many different toppings. Its paid by weight and personally 16 handles is so much better than pinkberry only because I can choose more than 2 froyo flavors. The machines were kinda slow so you have to keep on pushing it up and down for the froyo to get out. It's so sad to see the froyo economy drop down since the 2010s?? all this for $6 it looks small in the photo but it was quite a lot
Devin is such a superb employee at customer service and being to handle the job or two or more people. Multi-tasking with tending the check out, while handling multiple delivery orders and stocking the toppings area as it gets busy throughout the establishment. I’ve come here several times and he is never not working. The new flavors are not my favorite per say so I stick to tart, the classic birthday cake, and the non dairy flavors. I do enjoy the variety of the toppings like mochi, and the mango/strawberry bubbles.
What you expect at a 16 handles is what you get. Quality of froyo was good, they had a lot of different flavors so you’re bound to find something you like, they provide a nutrition label with each flavor as well which is nice. Each station was moderately clean as well as the space. The topping bar was a little dirty with a few cross contamination but again what you expect is what you get which I am not mad about because it’s self serve and people are messy sometimes, the workers can’t control that 24/7. Overall it was very good I always enjoy coming here for a late dessert snack since they close at 12am.

This store has the same fantastic FroYo as the west side location. However the staff here are not of the same excellent caliber with one exception. “Kayla” the assistant manager is absolutely fabulous. Whenever she is there, the entire experience is flawless - all the flavors are available and perfect, the staff are all busy working, the store is clean. When she’s not there…not so much. So..five stars for Kayla. She is tthis store location’s Special Sauce!

Great tastey treat. It would have been better if the employees matched the food. Disrespectful, rude, unprofessional employees and customer service. A wise person once said, if the food is good but the service is terrible, the customer may return. But if the food is great and the customer service is great, the customer will be back for more. I said thank you and the employee looked at me with a blank stare like they hated their job and was angry at me for coming there with a smile on my face. Smh I doubt I'll be back. Just remember this when you wonder why your sales are low.

I’m a regular (daily if I can!) at the UWS store and also go to the UES one often, and occasionally to Chelsea.This franchise consistently delivers FroYo in, yes, 16 perfectly balanced tangy/sweet, fresh, smooth, highly addictive flavors that include must-have favorites plus introductions of creative new temptations. Every one of the stores is pristine, fully stocked, and smoothly operating even when teeming with excited customers of every age.But IMHO what really distinguishes 16 Handles is the people. It is the rare franchise with multiple locations that operates with this level of personal attention to and care of not just its customers but also its employees. I was surprised to learn that it is a sprawling business…I experience it like a small start-up enterprise that exudes care, creativity, pride, joy, and investment in its physical but also human resources. The result is palpable.It takes genuine sustained effort and commitment to have staff - like Melissa, Andre, Sha'nya, Brianna - always taking the initiative and being appropriately attentive, unfailingly professional, and warmly personal regardless of whether a supervisor is around. They clearly like and respect their manager, Lamire, who has been described as a “great boss” and who doesn’t seem to expect anything of his staff that he doesn’t expect of and do himself. And it takes a special entrepreneur to value and invest in the professional development and advancement of his employees - no wonder that the owner, Neil, was described by his manager as “super nice” and “solid.”16 Handles is a treat for the tastebuds and the soul.
