Worst bar in NYC

We were having a great night until a very small accident happened - my friend spilled her drink. She immediately took responsibility and cleaned it up herself. That should have been the end of it.

Instead, two employees chose to humiliate her.

One bartender acted like he was bringing her a fresh beer, then stood behind the bar holding it and made her walk over to get it. When she did, he told her, “It’s the least you could do.” Condescending, unnecessary, and unprofessional.

Then another male staff member approached and called her the c-word in front of other customers, raising his voice and making a scene over something that had already been handled. Watching a grown man verbally attack a woman like that inside a bar was shocking and completely unacceptable.

No one deserves to be treated that way, especially by people whose job is hospitality.

After reading other reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated incident. There are multiple reports of staff yelling at and degrading patrons, which means management is allowing this culture to continue.

There are too many good bars in Manhattan to waste your time or money at one that treats women with this level of disrespect. We won’t be back.

Got out of line after I watched the bouncer keep someone at the door to make of the photo on their ID.

fun bar but the staff is EXTREMELY unprofessional. my friend accidentally spilled her drink and the bartender proceeded to call her the c word. such a bummer bc it’s a cool spot otherwise, but needs to reevaluate how they want their patrons treated by their employees.

Was having a great time here up until a small accident occurred with my female friend where she had a spill and willingly cleaned it up but two staff members made the situation worse than what it was. The first staff member gave the impression that they’d bring a fresh beer to the table but in fact, the staff member held it by the bar expecting my friend to pick it up and when she did the staff member followed up saying “it’s the least you could do”. Unacceptable. Another staff member approached my friend using derogatory terms to her and causing a scene in front of other customers. It’s unprofessional and quite embarrassing to know these are the staff members serving people.

Male employee called a woman the c-word over a spilled drink that SHE cleaned up. Such a nasty way to treat a woman. Completely unwarranted and disrespectful for any female patron to hear. I will never come back here knowing that the staff is allowed to yell at someone and call them disrespectful names. At first I was shocked that this happened, but upon reading other reviews about other instances where the staff was rude/yelling at patrons/etc, I’m not surprised in the slightest. Disappointed to see that this behavior has been happening for so long and nothing has been done to fix it? THAT surprises me. You’re losing business over these people…

I arrived at this dive bar kinda early on a Tuesday evening. The place is small with a real dive-y feel. Then some friends and others came to get drinks for a birthday. I thought their beer selection was weak, particularly since nothing was draft, but I got a few of their mojitos. The party went on well for a while.

Just came here to get a pickle martini. Ended up snagging a table so we stayed for another beer too. The place was pretty packed but I was pleasantly surprised that I could still order drinks relatively quickly, for a Saturday night. The backyard was closed when we went, might be all winter? That was definitely disappointing as it was pretty stuffy inside. Music was on point too. I probably wouldn't come back on my own but wouldn't mind coming if a friend wanted to go here. (Pickle martini was just alright, not pickly enough to be honest) Crowd seemed to be mostly mid 20s.

I was a big fan of the Vels and The Normals. My partner even toured with a lot of bands from NOLA but after how we were treated by the bartender tonight I wont give this place my money. Plenty of other great establishments to enjoy. I would never hire or be business partners with a petty man like that. His big talk and bawdy ways are sad for a 40 year old man.

Cool spot in lower east village. was pretty crowded but super easy to get a drink and the drinks were cheap!! Everyone seemed pretty young here and very in their own groups but other than that I liked it here.

Relatively cute but we got a cocktail menu marg and they poured it wrong and it all spilled out then just topped it with a shot of tequila instead of remaking. Was basically a tequila over ice with some lime for way too much money.

The well drink I got the pour was abt half a shot. Bartender was nice tho.

Then we got pool table which is by the hour which is a cool idea for a dive bar except it's the worst condition ever and fifteen dollars. No working cues, felt is so worn the balls don't bounce well, and the walls are too close to really play for real half the time. Just make it free or spend the money u make refelting and pool cues 🤨

If it wasn't for the cute palm tree seating outside I'd say no one should go here, but, it's a fine dive bar for what it is I guess.
