Such a disappointment! First, my server, Danielle, wore a glove on only one hand and used her bare hand, without tongs, to add garnishes to drinks, which raised serious concerns about hygiene. Additionally, when I ordered three courses for my party, only one set of utensils was provided. When I asked Naisa at the bar for two more sets, she responded with an attitude, stating that I had to go back to the pick-up station and wait for someone to assist me while continuing to chat with her peers. I waited for nine minutes at the pick-up station with no one showing up. Her demeanor felt unhelpful, as if she were fed up with her work and didn’t want to be bothered by guests. I will not be returning, nor will my friends.

Bouncer harassed my girlfriend when trying to enter the bar. She is 21 with a “real ID” star on her license, plus we saw it pass on the scanner when he scanned it. Kept us in line for 10 minutes asking ridiculous questions plus asked for her passport and wouldn’t answer us why. We decided to leave after getting in AFTER 10 MINUTES of being harassed. Never going again. Horrible.

We had a lovely afternoon stroll followed by some drinks with beautiful views. Unfortunately, the bartender's attitude wasn’t quite what we hoped for. We felt a bit confused about the queue and were told we weren’t in the right spot. When I chose not to tip, the bartender made a comment that caught me off guard, even suggesting I shouldn't come back. It’s a shame, as the scenery was stunning, but the service left something to be desired.

Unmatched NYC Views with Great Vibes
230 Fifth is hands down one of the best rooftop experiences in Manhattan. The views are incredible—you get a perfect shot of the Empire State Building lit up at night and sweeping skyline views that make the whole visit worth it.
The atmosphere is lively but still relaxed enough to enjoy drinks with friends. We went at sunset, and the transition from daylight to the city lights was just magical. The rooftop seating is comfortable, with plenty of space to hang out and take in the view.
Drinks were excellent—my cocktail (a fresh berry mojito) was refreshing and beautifully made, and the beer selection was solid. Service was friendly and quick despite how busy it was, which made the night even better.
If you’re in NYC, this place is a must-visit for the view alone. Pair it with a good drink and great company, and you’ll have one of those “only in New York” nights to remember.

230 Fifth Rooftop Bar is an unforgettable place to enjoy iconic NYC skyline views—especially a front-row look at the Empire State Building. Pros: Year-round rooftop, cozy heated igloos, festive decor, inventive cocktails, DJ music, great for photos and group outings. Cons: It gets busy after sundown, service can be hit or miss, limited vegetarian dishes, and somewhat touristy vibe. Overall: A must-visit for the views and atmosphere, best enjoyed early or with a bit of patience.

Do not host a private event here - staff was so rude and was literally screaming (full voice YELLING) at guests. So wildly unprofessional and a true lack of problem solving skills. Will never host an event here of my own.
Tourist trap. Awful experience, I don't recommend it. On weekends they charge you a fee for entering. Not friendly staff at all. The worst memory of my trip to NYC, I wish I'd never been there.
