I recently took some friends who were visiting from out of town to 230 Fifth Rooftop. None of us drink, but we had heard about the views and wanted to check out the vibe. The rooftop did not disappoint. The view of the Empire State Building was stunning, especially around sunset, and the atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming. It was a bit touristy, but in a fun way that added to the experience rather than taking away from it.
Great vibes, has an amazing view of Empire State Building and the lighting here is always good. Drinks are slightly expensive but decent, definitely a place to checkout if you have someone visiting or want to meet some friends. Busy on most evenings, but late evenings / sunset are the best times to visit

The second night it rained so we ended up sitting downstairs and it wasn't that great. We were only allowed to sit in this weird back room that had dirty sofas. I really wouldn't go here unless you can sit outside on the rooftop.
