Jewish people who come here tends to rave about it.

People rave about the matzo ball soup. The matzo ball soup style was made to be buttery soft. The chicken broth was on the bland side, but still decent. I did enjoy it.

The pastrami was on the a bit too salty side. I tend to like fattier cuts. I will ask for it next time. Mine was very lean as most Americans will want that.

We have been here thrice and it never disappoints! Love the veggie starters they provide. The server was so kind the pastrami rye is amazing (try it with the mustard!) and the matzah ball soup is amazing!
Great service and food. Pricing is high but so is the overall experience and worth it. Complimentary slaw and pickle to start along with desert cookie at the end. Server was very attentive and friendly.

Portions are generous and overall we’d certainly come back. Not every place delivers on quality, portions, and service when you pay top dollar, but 2nd Ave does.
