Read reviews about the rude manager before going to this place. Unfortunately they are true.
We were looking forward to dinner with old friends but the manager dude was so unbelievably rude that we felt it was better to just leave.
Oh well 🤷♂️.
We went there for lunch, place was not very busy. We had a wonderful lunch. Staff was accommodating and helped us join a couple of tables (party of 6). Food delicious, good red wine selection... We were very satisfied with our meals, drinks, and experience. Will be coming back when we are in NYC.
Absolutely fantastic service, food and atmosphere. Extremely romantic restaurant in the middle of NYU. The owners are incredible
2nd time and even better than the first time!!
Love this place! Great food!
This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. The pasta is always perfectly cooked and the dishes are immaculately consistent. The wait staff is always great, the wine list is fantastic. The mushroom ravioli and the penne rosé are highly recommended. The crab tartare was fabulous! Long live 3 Giovani!
A classic, elegant and minimalist place.
We really had fun tonight with this family dinner. Splendid service and excellent food. Very good pizza.
Between one story and another we also made room for some desserts. See you soon Gianni.

If 3 Giovani has no fans, I am dead. If I had to choose my last meal and my mom's cooking was not on the table, it would be the 3 Giovani mushroom ravioli and either the tiramisu or dark chocolate mousse cake for dessert. My only gripe is that I cannot get endless ravioli here à la Olive Garden. But such is life.

Ran into someone in lower Manhattan who recommended this restaurant. I hear that if a native NYer recommends a restaurant to a tourist you go. Am I glad I listened to that bit of advice!

The place was good, I ordered the papardelle and wasn’t my favorite but the veal was very tasty.
The best was the tomatoe dip with complimentary bread.
The prices are ok but the affogato it’s not worth for the $12.
Very pretty place and service good.

Our outside table was elegant, with white tablecloth and fresh roses, not much street noise, and easy on-street parking. The food was fabulous! Best mussels ever--with white wine, fennel, thyme, and crusty bread. The antipasto was delicious. My sweetie had the Burrata pizza and loved it. We had Pana cotta and pistachio gelato for dessert--yum! The excellent servers were nice and just-the-right-amount of attentive. We will be back!
