The food was amazing but most importantly the service was everything I typically look for. Sabina was my server and she was very on point with every step of service. She paid attention to detail and made sure we had everything we needed before I even thought about things I needed to enjoy my food. Plus the food was amazing. I ate it too fast for picture.

I’ve been going to this place since I was 16. I actually celebrated my 16th birthday here and it was as a blast. Fast forward went to college and I will eat here after class. This wings and Mac were my favorite. Still as an adult I come here especially for late happy hour. The staff is great, friendly, they greet me & smile as soon as they see me. I enjoy the food, atmosphere, music and drinks. It’s my go to spot ! Onion rings, wings, shrimp tacos & 5 napkin burger are my favs.Kid-friendliness: I always see kids here especially during the weekend and lunch hours

High price point given that food takes awhile to come out, and was only slightly above room temp (including the Parmesan fries and miso soup). The salad with salmon was pretty good, but definitely not worth $38.

Callista was such an excellent server and right when I walked in I was greeted by the two loveliest hosts, Elizabeth and Mianna. Every worker was so attentive even if it wasn’t their table, like Alex who came to check on me during dessert. Every manager also made sure to stop by my tables as well. My only complaint is that I would have liked more sauce on my truffle burger. Also, It was so nice to see all the workers chumming it up- you could tell they love working together!

We were visiting the American Museum of Natural History with our 6 year old grandson who informed us that he was starving. We were an hour early for our reservation but the hostess got us in after a 5 minute wait. The food was great and most importantly my grandson loved it.

My family and I decided to dine here on Valentine's Day because it's teen friendly. My husband and I ordered from the prix-fixe Valentine's menu and our 16 yr. old ordered from the regular menu. Everything was fantastic (the food, service, ambiance)! We couldn't have asked for a better non-romantic dinner.
Honestly the BEST burger in the city--yes I have been to all the fancy places like Emily's and Minetta's and Corner Bar, even Luger's for lunch in Great Neck...but if you like a real meat flavored heavy burger, there is no other place. Granted, the atmosphere is like a suburbs diner and the service is worse than that, but if you really want a great tasting burger, you've got to go to a 5 napkin.

Of course the Cheeseburger is Excellent ? ?The server could have been more attentive, there were not many people in the restaurant. But in all fairness she was working with an injured hand.I was startled when I asked a young man if he was taking my order and he replied "No" This is not the way to greet a customer. Particularly, a New Customer.Kid-friendliness: There were about 3 families with children in the restaurant .

I had been craving an above average burger for a few months, and NYC Restaurant Week was coming to a close, so I figured I'd hit up a place I'd been wanting to try for a few months: 5 Napkin Burger. The place was packed on a Saturday at noon, and I was thankful I'd placed a reservation the night prior. We were seated nearly immediately and despite the nearly-full restaurant, our server was communicative, regularly around and efficient. She made our experience even better than it was. Both me and my partner ended up not ordering off of the Restaurant Week menu. I didn't want to eat the dessert that came with it, and my partner wanted to try the Tuna Burger that they had. The food was delicious. We started out with an order of the truffle parmesan fries, which were better than I'd expected them to be and a pretty decent portion given the price tag. My 5 Napkin Burger was cooked medium and was very delicious and presented well. They also had gluten-free buns, some delicious-looking fried chicken, and some high-quality-looking veggie burgers. I would recommend to anyone looking for upscale New American classics on the Upper West Side.
