Authentic food in an intimate spot. The vibe was amazing, lively on a Sunday night without being overwhelming and amazing food. Great service, will be back.

The food was really good. All of it was made well and for the most part amazing service. My only issue was the white hostess told us there were no tables and seated us right by the door completely cramped. Asking another waiter he was able to move us and said we need to be done at 8 as the table was reserved. This was at 6, showing the hostess just did not seat us well and communicate properly. If seated there we were ready to leave, but because the other staff were competent, we stayed and enjoyed good food. My other issue is as the tables are small we could only eat one plate at a time. Otherwise, it was very good! I just wish the hostess did not ruin the experience from the get go, with her incompetence.

When I decide to spend circa $250 for two of us, I expect a decent ambiance and enough space to dine comfortably without feeling cramped. Unfortunately, this restaurant falls completely short in those areas.
To be clear, the food is truly exceptional—it really is. It’s the only reason why I’ll be back.
However, the interior leaves much to be desired. The design is dull, the tables are packed closely together, and it’s evident that little effort was made to create an atmosphere.

The food was incredible!
Everything we tried was amazing, and it’s hard to pick a favorite. We had the tuna tartare, Chilean sea bass, 8282 steak, pork belly, and Kimchi-bap—each dish was outstanding.
For drinks, we chose the banana milk. It the perfect balance of banana flavor: not too sweet but delightfully foamy.
I strongly recommend making a reservation, as walk-ins are almost impossible, and the wait could be as long as 3 hours.
One downside was the lighting—it was a bit too dim to fully appreciate the presentation of the dishes.
The tables are small and tightly packed, which made the atmosphere feel a little cramped. That was the only real disappointment, but overall, the experience was fantastic.

Food is very good. Creative take on modern Korean. Restaurant is small and they’ve crammed in too many tables. Atmosphere is very loud and chaotic. In addition, you only are allotted one hour for your meal. There’s no room to stand while waiting for table or single bathroom. We felt rushed and it was not an enjoyable dining experience. There are better options in Manhattan.

The restaurant does not quite live up to the hype surrounding it. While the service was excellent, with the attentive all-Korean staff working diligently to present the dishes, the overall experience fell short when considering the cost-to-value ratio.
The Jeju Old Fashioned was a decent cocktail, but the oversized ice cube dominated the glass, leaving very little to actually drink. The Tuna Tartare and Beef Tartare were enjoyable, though not standout dishes. The 8282 Steak was a highlight—well-seasoned and tender. However, the Jjajang Bori-Bap Scallops were bland and underwhelming, failing to meet expectations. On the other hand, the Dakgalbi Kimchi-Bap was a creative and flavorful dish that stood out positively.
For a price point of at least $100 per person, there are other establishments that provide a superior culinary experience. Additionally, the interior of the restaurant was minimal and lacked any notable decor, detracting from the overall ambiance.

We had a blast. Delicious food, super friendly staff, great cocktails and great location in the heart of the east village.
Our favourites were the octopus, scallops, sea bass, and tartar.

We were from out of town and Shimmi made our night extra special!! So personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Red light atmosphere is very inviting. Tuna tartare and espresso martini are a must try.

We went to an event at 8282. The inside is not too small, not too large.
We had a few cocktails. Gochujang Margarita and Yuzu Matcha Magic. Gochujang Margarita was not as spicy as I thought it would be. Quite tasty! The Matcha one had such distinctive green color, had a nice sweetness to it, but not too much. I really enjoyed this drink. Yuja Peach Tequila Perilla. This one was tasty too, a bit more fruity but without being too sweet.
We had a few dishes and a dessert. Tomato with Crab had a great dashi flavor, reminded me of a Japanese dish. The bonito flakes and rich earthy flavor was so amazing and refreshing. A great starter dish.
A canape with seaweed butter was like a steamed bun. The butter didn’t taste much like seaweed, but had a nice bit of salty flavor to it.
Mushroom Party was perfect for a mushroom lover. Even if you are not a big fan, this dish might make you into a mushroom lover. It was so good!
Grilled Chilean Sea Bass was cooked to perfection, flakey and moist. Sauce had a nice kick to it, and kimchi was great too, adding extra texture and flavor. But, sea bass was great on its own without any sauce too. Loved every bite!
Spicy Pork Collar was another great dish! The pork collar was cooked just right so that it is not chewy, nor too tough. Packed with flavor and loved the crunch from the chimichurri. Delicious!
Dessert was Milk Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream, and Raspberry Sauce. It was sweet with a nice not crunch on the exterior. The custard inside was thick rather than velvety. It was a nice dessert, but since all the savory dishes were so great, I felt like this dessert was not at the same level.
We enjoyed all the drinks and the food. The fish was my favorite. Definitely recommend this spot.

The quality of this restaurante is beyond what I expected, the quality of the food is amazing, I love how quick is everything and how kind are the waiters. The ambient is quite loud so you kinda have to speak out when chatting with the people you went with. I recommend ordering maybe 2.5/3 plates per person. The perilla oil noodles are one of the stars of the place as well as the braised pork.
