Small intimate venue. Good food. Clearly, “regulars” get prederable service. Even though I called 3 times to confirm my reservation they still seemed surprised once we arrived.
I had the loveliest time at this restaurant, what an Italian staple in the upper east side. Jose was such a delight and had superb customer service. It felt like home hanging out with family. Marco's cooking is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend for everyone to come enjoy! Can't wait to come back.
The waitstaff was rude and disrespectful to a group (6) of 20-something college students. All of which are intelligent, well travelled and fine out frequently. The guests felt minimized despite the good being good. As this is a neighborhood place that I had been to numerous times (with issues with service on occasion but not like tjus$ I had suggested the restaurant and was embarrassed when they came home and ALL felt the same about the way they were treated. The bill was significant so it was not an issue of taking up space with no revenue.
Met up with cousins who were in the city. Table for 4 at 7:45 on Friday night. Everyone enjoyed their main course. The shrimp scampi, pasta with seafood and sea bass were excellent. My cousin who is a foodie ordered spaghetti and meatballs which is out of character. He said his main was excellent. The martini's were well poured as was the wine. The bottles are expensive which meant we only ordered a glass. The vibe in the restaurant was warm and cheerful. The service was good. It was a great night eating delicious and large size portions. Will return for sure. The place is a gem.
Everything was great but a bit too crowded. It is a small place but when the server was helping the table next to us he was on top of my husband and kept bumping into him. Not enough room for the server to move around
I ordered the baked clams and linguini with white clam sauce. Both dishes were amazing. The tastiest food and never disappoints.

We were recommended this restaurant by a local and it does not disappoint. The food was phenomenal and the service is spectacular. Truly worth the stop if you want delicious Italian food with amazing hosts.

The pounded veal chop on the bone is outstanding as well as all of their pasta dishes, which are clearly made from scratch. My only complaint is I wish the tables weren't packed so tightly together, but overall the restaurant is excellent.

The service impostor are fabulous. We ordered the veal chop and the veal was very hard to eat for a an expensive main course. I would expect it to be better and in the past, it has been better.
This was our first time dining at 83 1/2. What an enjoyable experience. The waiter was exceptionally pleasant and helpful and genuinely wanted to provide us with the best service. We enjoyed the artichokes and baked clams for appetizers. The fillet of sole was enjoyed as “the best fish I've had in a while.“ I special requested and received a very flavorful chicken Valdostana. Had anyone asked, I would have been unwilling to share! While the artichokes and sautéed spinach had, perhaps, a bit too much oil, they were nonetheless very tasty. A touch of salt may have helped as well. Overall, this was a delicious meal, with praiseworthy service. I am certain we will be back.

A classic little Italian gem. I’m from NY and have lived in this area for a bit (and eaten ALOT of Italian food) - this is my personal favorite Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. The paccheri alla vodka is seriously the best. We love the salads, the pastas, and the chicken or veal parm!!! They also have a great wine selection. Always feel well taken care of here. Even with take out they give you a nice portion of bread with oil and balsamic for dipping (it’s the little things!)

Amazing food always! I can't get enough. From the artichokes to the pasta to the lamb. Don't miss this gem.

While the food was excellent, there was only one waiter. They usually have two(the owner who doubles as a waiter was missing). As a result service was quite slow..
I have eaten here a number of times before with my boyfriend and had great food and service. Last night I dined with a girl friend. For various reasons we ordered just an entree each and she had a glass of wine. I guess the waiter was annoyed that we didn't order more because at times he was a bit rude and seemed somewhat annoyed and begrudging when asked for the black and the red pepper shakers or more water. It will make me think twice before I consider a return with my sister or any other of my girl friends.
