A fantastic downtown restaurant has lot of choices for South Asian dishes. The place feels just like a regular restaurant you'd expect. The staff there is really nice too!

Very tasty. The place had lots of room for a late dinner. The food was great and the waiter pointed out some fun dishes to try to expand the usual set of options. They were all delicious.

We stopped here for lunch the restaurant was very busy lunch time. Service was quick the lamb seeks kebab was very average and tasted very meaty I didn't enjoy it. The veg samosa, shrimp curry and rice was tasty and we enjoyed it. Improve your lamb seeks kebab recipe.

Avinash was amazing! The food was wonderful! Really great experience, will 100% come back again. They have different spicy limits so it caters to all which is awesome. They have a very large vegetarian menu as well. Fantastic all around.

The inside is absolutely beautiful, only to be followed up with food that was absolutely delicious! Everything was rich in big and bold flavors. I had the lamb that was tender and to die for. Avinash was an amazing host and made me feel like I’m at home eating with friends I’ve known for years.Truly can’t recommend Aahar enough, amazing food, amazing staff, a true all around unbelievably good time!

Everything we've ordered from here have been really delicious. Every bite is full of flavor. From their deliciously spicy lamb vindaloo to their flavorful biryani and Samosa, we go to Aahar whenever we crave Indian food.

Great place to go with a family, a date, or a large group. The staff was very accommodating, even though our rag-tag group kept getting larger through the night. The waiters we quick and had a great sense of humor. I guess they are used to a lot of non-Indian customers because they always ask about the spice level or warn if they think it might be too much for your New Yawk accent. There are plenty of vegetarian / vegan options so it's a good place to go with a mix of meat eaters and naan meat eaters. Chicken, lamb and fish. There wasn't anything less than a great meal in any of it. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars, is that EAT CLUB (our group) reserves that only for "special services." Eat here! You'll love it!

The chicken Tikka masala and garlic naan was amazing. The spices on the Tikka masala were perfect. The prices are pretty reasonable too. They also gave us free rice pudding for dessert which was a nice surprise! They also have vegetarian options on their menu, though we didn't get anything vegetarian.

I've had lunch on a few occasions at this restaurant and the food, service and atmosphere are always amazing. The staff pays attention to every detail. They'll ask you how you'd prefer the level of spiciness for your selected dish. The food is always fresh and flavorful. Each visit is always a pleasant experience.Wheelchair accessibility: Street level entrance accessible for wheelchairs

My husband and I were visiting NY and we were looking for a place to have dinner and we walked into this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with Basmati Rice and garlic bread, my husband also had the salad. And again, it was absolutely delicious.

When I went into the restaurant the restaurant was immensely busy. The staff desultorily arranged my table for two people. When I had the chicken Tikka masla with the naan It was extremely delectable. Also when I had the chicken biryani and when I tasted this palatable dish. I thought to myself this dish is made by the hands of Chef Gordon Ramsey. Outstanding service.DEFINITELY GO TO THIS RESTAURANT.
