Terrible service. Kitchen forgot my food order and still charged me for the beer after waiting 30 minutes.
Abbey tavern is the best! I love going here for trivia and any other night. Staff is super friendly and I enjoy the nachos

We originally stopped by because the bar’s name is spelled like my daughter’s name, which is rare to find. Great beer and atmosphere but the best part was meeting our authentically Irish bartender named Shauna!!!!! Loved learning all about Ireland from her!!!

This place was amazing! Great customer service and the food was incredible. The apps we ordered we the Pretzel with Cheese sauce and the pigs in a blanket -sooooo good! For my entre I had the Penne a la vodka and it’s some of the best I’ve ever had. The sauce was the perfect consistency and the prosciutto and bacon really took the dish to another level. I love that it also came with a side of parmesan.

My son and I met up with a friend here while on a trip to NYC. Our friend frequents The Abbey and highly suggested that where we meet. After just walking in the door, I understood why. Immediately, you feel welcomed and it only got better! Our server was great with service! The owner, Kathaleen went around to every table checking to make sure everyone had everything they needed and how their service was. When she came to our table and spoke with us, it was like speaking to an old friend that I just saw last week. The food was perfect. Service was 110%. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I will definitely go back to The Abbey whenever I make it back up to NYC. I highly recommend this place to everyone!!!

The jukebox machine stole my money. This place is ran by con artists. Scammed me out of my money and the food was terrible. Bathrooms were disgusting and not well kept. I think I saw a rat behind the bar. And the it had a stench of meth (don’t ask me how I know)

I came here for UFC 298 and it was a $10 cover charge to enter. I can’t comment on the food or service while sitting at a table but you’re in good hands if you sit at the bar. Both bartenders were attentive and quick to get everyone their drinks. The atmosphere itself looked to be a mix of locals and young professionals from all around the city. If you’re here to hang out and listen to music it’s a great place to do so. If you’re here to chat with other people it’s a great place to do so. Glad I had a good experience the first time and can see myself coming back in the future. Don’t forget to take care of your bartender.

My crew stopped in for an early bite after work. The bacon cheddar burgers came quickly and were wonderful! Dermot, the owner, was just great. He sat and told us stories about his home in Ireland and how he got to this place. We work at the college around the corner several times a year and will definitely go back.
Very busy
Very cozy place on 3rd Avenue.Happy hour until 8pm, not too crowded, great selection of tasty beers and good music. The menu is varied and the food is very tasty. The atmosphere is friendly and there is a choice of tables overlooking the street or a bar. Service is equally fast)
Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian burger.

We are from Canada and visited Abbeys over New Years 2023. Service was great and owner (Kathleen, hope I spelled it correctly) was super friendly and made us feel welcome each night we visited. She made it a point to come and speak to us every time we went in and even bought us a beer each! The food was amazing and fairly priced. Service was prompt and consistent. They even had our brands of beer which can be hard to find in New York. We had a great time multiple times over 5 days and would recommend Abbey's to everyone if visiting New York. Thank you Abbeys Tavern for having us! ❤️

The staff was friendly, and the decor was very nice and at the time we went, festive for the holidays.
For a tavern they had more food options than I expected, but it was a good thing. My meal, the melt, was okay (I would have wanted more garlic butter flavor to my bread)- seems like the Irish breakfast, bangers and mash and likely the shepherds pie are your best bets.
FYI for my friends with mobility limitations, the bathroom is down a flight of stairs. Hoping they'll put some bright markings on the edge of each step for those with low vision (as well as the bleary eyed).
Overall a nice tavern, well suited for a small group of friends.
