Most perfect plate of breakfast food I’ve ever had. Perfectly scrambled eggs, pastrami smoked salmon, bright herby salad, tomato jam, perfectly ripe avocado and buttery toasty sourdough…. Simple perfection. It does not get better than this.
This is a vintage-style café ☕️ tucked away underground in New York’s West Village. If you walk by without paying attention to the small sign, you might miss it.
The words “food for the soul” at the entrance caught my attention. I wondered if this place might have something that really fits my taste.

Horrible matcha latte. Tastes like milk with a drop of grass. No flavor whatsoever. Ordered a Macadamia nut matcha latte for eight dollars. Took two sips and threw out. Not the most friendly staff. I said use the milk you recommend- they couldn’t provide an answer. Cute spot and I’m sure the coffee is good but don’t come here for matcha
