After a long 15-mile walk between Brooklyn and Manhattan I was ready to eat. I stopped here with a pizza mindset, but when I looked at the menu I pivoted. I sipped on a Milano Old Fashioned while deciding what to have. Still sipping and thinking to myself “what a proper drink.” To eat I had the Spicy Penne a la Vodka. Oohhh, nice portion, fresh ingredients, and just enough heat with pasta cooked al dente. For dessert, which I rarely have, I tried the house-made cannoli...
Sorry to say that the food was mediocre, my pizza was awash with vinegar from the capers. My partner said her parmigiana was Luke warm before I mentioned mine tasted of too much vinegar. Had to write this review because I know they can do better. Staff didn’t ask how the food was. Maybe the staff know it’s not up to scratch.
A very crispy and tasty square peperoni pizza cooked to perfection. Located in a historic location with cobblestone streets.You can dine either inside or the outside seating. Customer service was very good.
