Ordered a takeout, feeling sick from eating such low quality food. Threw away more than half. The deep fried rice roll, the salmon and tuna rolls, all made with the lowest grade fish. Never ordering from them again.

Decently priced Japanese lunch in the heart of Tribeca. The poke bowl was delicious, but I was still hungry after that. The complimentary hot tea at the end of the meal was a nice touch. Nice ambiance and decor.

Great spot in a great location! Sushi was delicious, service was friendly and helpful, and the prices were reasonable for high quality food. A hidden gem in Tribeca - try the unfiltered sake.

I stopped by Ajisai on Duane this evening for a high quality, yet not too formal, solo dinner. The exterior is unassuming, but the interior is quite welcoming (light colored wood panel walls, cute white paper lantern lamps, etc.)For my meal, I had miso soup, two a la carte pieces of sushi (sea scallop and toro), and chirashi as the main. All of the fish was fresh, and the chirashi was plated in a unique, attractive way. Side note: in addition to the standard pickled ginger and wasabi, the chirashi was served with pickled daikon on the side, which I love, but don't tend to see too often. Finally, the service was great: my server took the time to read back my order for confirmation, the food came out quickly, and my drinks (water and hot tea) were continually kept full. In short: stop by this spot, I think you'll enjoy it!P.S.: The music was on point, in my opinion, to the point where much of it overlapped with my personal playlist. The reader can take that for what they will, I guess!

Enjoyed a pleasant afternoon lunch here today. The young Hong Kong boss lady was kind and friendly. The Japanese waiter is also very welcoming. Food was good, will come back next time.

What a lovely intimate restaurant serving excellent Japanese food. It meets my high bar for Asian food. And the price is very reasonable.
