I ain’t from New York, so this sandwich shop was every bit what I figured the Big Apple’s all about. Alex had my order pegged soon as I strolled in—everything bagel sandwich, hot off the press. That bagel was fresh as a prairie mornin’, and the vibe in there? Just as lively. Even got to jaw a bit with his boy, which was a hoot.
Coffee was darn good, too!

On my way to my doctor’s appt, I could not resist stopping into Alex Cafe for a quick bite. I had a bagel and lox that was prepared to perfection! Thank you Alex for being the consummate host and caretaker!

Alex is the best! He is exactly who you would want to interact with when tired and coming into work early. Super nice and generous:) The smoothies here are amazing, and there are no set options on the menu from what I could see, making them very customizable and completely up to you on what you want to add. I now feel like this is how smoothies should be! They are so fresh, too: I could see the person who works there chopping the strawberries behind the counter.
