This place is a vibe. The atmosphere is modern and cozy at the same time. We celebrated my birthday with a group for dinner here and the staff was absolutely AMAZING, they're so fun and attentive (never had to ask for a refill). You guys made the night so much fun for us all...THANK YOU!

A hidden gem. Food was fantastic, all of the servers are attentive and kind. The atmosphere is romantic. Went in for dinner, then sat at the bar, spent over 4 hours at the restaurant.

This unexpecting restaurant was probably one of the best I’ve been to recently because of the server I had. It’s rare in New York you find a server that will fully care and take care of everything that you are looking for but here in Alice we had the most amazing server that almost read me to a T of what I could’ve even wanted from drinks to appetizers to dinner me and my Group had an amazing time. Carsen created such a warming calming environment for us. It had been a long travel day, and we were looking to Have a nice dinner in the area. Recommend the octopus and bourbon drink

The food is amazing! I got the Butternut squash gnocchi and our server Carson recommended the grilled octopus and it was delicious!! He was the best and gave us great recommendations and really made the experience. I would come back again and definitely request him as my server!

My favourite design from our trip. I love this style of restaurant … very talked about but kind of hidden.
The owners were very accommodating of our reservation request when they found out we were also restaurateurs on an nyc trip even though it was short notice.
Being Italian it’s always a more authentic experience to be speaking Italian with the very charming and gracious owners who came to our table and spent quite a bit of time conversing with us in Italian and explaining their journey in nyc and practically every ingredient of every dish.
A very special experience.
I would give this place 15 stars for atmosphere if the option was available.
Loved everything but the atmosphere is just amazing.
Auguri 🥂

Service was bad, they left us in the cold even we made reservation. I asked them a few times, and had no response.

Very disappointed. Not much to say about this place. Will not recommend at all. Portions and food are below average so bland. Over priced and mediocre, service was good very attentive but unfortunately left hungry and upset will not be coming back

My absolute favorite Italian restaurant in the world. Better than any dish you’ll find in Italy. The service was exceptional, food to die for and overall experience so outstanding.

I would not recommend the tuna the color is not right and the taste is off
Additionally, make sure you check your bills. These guys added on a whopping $70 tip in addition to the already added tip that was on my bill.
Mediocre at best and dirty for trying to steal money!

The place is nice The bartender David was extremely sweet and we were happy , until
He gave us a bill for $70 for two regular margaritas which was outrageous as I haven’t seen anybody in the city charging $35 for these drinks or
At least let us know as the menu doesn’t have that price for any other drinks.
I like the place but the dishonesty is a big thing for me. One of the owners was there who apparently did the decor so he was so full
Of himself that he didn’t even get up
To say HI to us when he was extremely nice to another guest who apparently has money and moved from one slow town home to another one.
Very pity, I liked the place at first and could had come back with friends but the aforementioned things really turned us off.
For dishonesty we gave 1 star

Tucked beneath a historic brownstone, Alice feels like a hidden escape to coastal Italy — intimate, elegant, and full of charm.
From the moment we arrived, the host welcomed us warmly and seated us right away, setting the tone for a wonderful night. The service was exceptional — Xaviera made the experience unforgettable, describing each dish with passion and care.
The Bucatini al Limone was creamy, citrusy, and perfectly salted; the grilled octopus was tender and full of flavor; and the burrata with heirloom tomatoes was a refreshing start.
It’s clear that Alice prides itself on excellent customer service — the laid-back, welcoming vibe and friendly staff truly make you feel like family.
✨ A cozy, flavorful, and heartfelt dining experience — a true hidden gem in NYC.

Dinner at alice restaurantnyc felt like a little escape — cozy, candlelit vibes with dishes that really showcase the power of simple, high-quality ingredients. 🌿✨
Their focus on hand-picked, organic produce comes through beautifully — the tomatoes were some of the best I’ve had all summer, and the burrata was impossibly creamy. The fresh herb-forward cocktails? Also a highlight. 🌸🍸
Standouts for me:
✔️ The zucchini carpaccio was light and fragrant, a perfect start.
✔️ The pasta — classic, well-executed, just the right amount of bite.
✔️ The grilled fish was super fresh and paired with a lovely, bright sauce.
That said, a couple of the dishes leaned a bit too simple. While I love minimalism, I was hoping for a bit more complexity or seasoning in the peppers and salad — beautiful, but slightly underwhelming flavor-wise.
Still, you can tell there’s a real respect for ingredients here, and that’s something I’ll always appreciate. Would definitely come back in peak season to see how the menu evolves — it feels like the kind of place that shines brightest when ingredients are at their best. 🌼🍽️
