Got the Gothamist on semolina bread š, a pickle, and a bag of chips with rosemary and olive oil flavor. Oh, a canned Illy latte too. It was $38.34 with tax. The pickle was a small sliver and cost 75 cents. It did have some surprising heat to it. The sandwhich had a mild flavor and was fresh. The bread had a good texture. The pesto, šlemon, and sundried tomatoe flavors were milder than expected. The rosemary of the chips was not very noticable. I am glad I got it in advance for supper for my 7 hour train ride š. Better than the dining car options or nothing. Pretty expensive but it is NYC š½in a train station. Youāre paying for convenience and location. My canned latte was needed on the ride too and I liked the flavor. The line was short and moved fast around noon on a Monday. Staff were friendly and helpful in giving directions of service. You get a pager after you pay- when it buzzes, you pick up your food in the next window. I recommend grabbing a cold sandwhich to go for long rides.
Vibe: loud, busy, smells heavenly mixed of meats and bread ;-)
Iāve now been to 3 Alidoro locations: Moynihan, Rockefeller and Bryant Park. With some luck, the location by ESB (giant poster!) will open soon⦠oh boy Iām in trouble. The Bryant park location has seatings and honestly, I donāt know if I canāt eat there⦠can get too crowded and too loud for me to enjoy the sandwich.
Sando: tried a few and my fav is definitely Romeo⦠turkey, arugula & hot peppers! (Alyssa is a safe option if you donāt like spicy, Alidoro, Gothamist are good options as well). Got 3 sandwiches - $54 + $2 tip.
Staff are friendly! (Except for the lady from the kitchen, who gave me a death stare⦠I was obviously lost⦠first time, looking for mobile order pick up⦠she rudely pointed to the front. Like it costs you nothing to be nice.)

This restaurant serves honest, unmodified recipes. Workers here create an exceptional dining experience. I found words inadequate. I'll make a special trip just to visit ALIDORO again. This restaurant outperforms similar spots.

Excellent service, very friendly. Great vibe in this surprisingly cute little restaurant. Good music, employees seem happy (one of them was even dancing while making food, which can only bring extra good karma to the food). I ordered an iced Nutella cappuccino and biscotti (delicious!), and will be back for some sandwiches, all of which looked very fresh. Not a ton of seating space, as they seem to have a really big takeout and delivery business, but there are a few spots to sit (more along a counter than actual tables). If Alidoro had not been specifically recommended to me, I would have missed it - so glad I found it.

Imagine a restaurant that does not provide salt and pepper. When I ask for salt, they say they donāt have any, and theyāre even surprised by my request. As an exception, the manager gives me a small container of salt. All around the world, places that serve food also provide salt, because everyone has different preferences when it comes to seasoning. Period!!! So if you wanna eat here take your own sal and pepper with you!

Way way expensive for nothing!
Good sandwiches, usually. They can mix up orders between customers, so beware and check before leaving.
Hot cheesesteak sandwich. Waited 10 min smells great. My only ask was no mushrooms and swap it for hot peppers since Iām allergic. Walk all the way back to work open up and put right in the trash. $20 wasted. The cashier was super friend and nice and read it back to me confirming no mushrooms but here we are.

When I first walked into this sandwich shop on 39th, I honestly thought Iād stepped into a stylish cocktail bar. The dim lighting, curated decor, and sleek, industrial charm set a tone far more elevated than your typical sandwich joint. Itās cozy but thoughtfully designed ā with tiled walls, exposed beams, warm wood, and hanging greenery that gives it a polished yet inviting vibe.
I ordered the Alidoro sandwich ā prosciutto, hot peppers, sweet roasted peppers, arugula, and olive oil ā and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The bread was standout: rustic, chewy, perfectly crisp on the outside. The balance of sweet heat from the peppers and the savory depth of the prosciutto made every bite exciting.
Staff here are super friend and enthusiastic. They even offered to help me take pictures. Itās rare to find this level of hospitality in a fast-paced Midtown spot.
This is the kind of place that surprises you. You walk in expecting a quick sandwich, and you walk out feeling like you just had an experience. Absolutely worth a visit ā whether youāre working nearby or just passing through.

You would hope for a Cheesesteak they would put more than ONE slice of cheese on it. For the price? FAIL
