Super disappointing. I'd heard a lot of great things about Alidoro's sandwiches, but my experience at this location did not live up to the hype. I came on a Sunday afternoon where there were virtually no other customers in sight and ended up waiting almost half an hour for an overpriced cold sandwich on dry bread, with very few toppings (the Truffletta). The truffle oil also overpowered any other flavor that may have come from the toppings. I will say the ham and arugula seemed fresh, though. Almost warned the guy who ordered after me to not even bother, but I refrained. Would not come again.

Haven't even began to eat my sandwich yet but if the service at your Bowery location is any indication of how your sandwiches taste then I am in for an awful experience. I ordered my sandwich, was told to wait for 7-10 minutes only to be waiting for a total of 26 minutes because your employee had forgotten to make my sandwich and was firing out other customers orders who had ordered after me quicker than I could blink. Just took a bite of my sandwich in the midst of this review and you're lucky your food tastes good because I'm going to stop here. Will not be returning to the Bowery location any time soon.

I've tried to eat here 3 times now around 5:15 PM but each time they closed early. The guy just shut the window and shrugged. If they want to close at 5 they should just say they close at 5.

A bit pricey, but the size of the sandwiches and the quality of the ingredients absolutely make up for it. Everything is fresh and delicious and tastes just as good the next day for leftovers. One of my favorite and most frequented places for lunch!

I got the pinnochio and the sandwich was great. It came with prosciutto, sopressata, Fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and Olive spread. The only thing is that they probably should have substituted the olive spread for fig spread or a balsamic vinegar. I agree that the sandwich is pricey, but it's huge. For this size sandwich, I don't think they would be able to charge much less.

After having trouble with my initial delivery, they reached out immediately to try to resolve the issue - a level of customer service which is very much appreciated. The Alidoro sandwich was delicious, with a unique flavor combination and fresh ingredients!

Like high priced pre-distressed denim, buying expensive gourmet foods out of a faux shanty-town makes me self conscious about my willingness to buy into a paper thin mask of authenticity. I was hungry. The sandwich was good and large. There's a basket store next door for those who are rich and unashamed. No restrooms.

Are these sandwiches good? Yes. Are they worth nearly (or over) $15? Definitely not. I'm just about the same with the consensus on Yelp that this place has some good things going, but at a price point that is commonly seen in sit-down restaurants in NYC. At $15, these sandwiches would have to really be life-changing, but alas, they are just good--and that's not worth the extra $, especially with no area for eating outside.

Had a great experience catering a small party with Alidoro recently. I placed an order online, not realizing the Midtown East location I had chosen doesn't cater on the weekends. The GM went above and beyond making sure everything went smoothly, including coordinating to have the Bowery location (that also doesn't typically cater on weekends) prepare the order anyway and texting me from her personal phone to make sure everything was communicated and even offered to arrange for a delivery service to deliver the order. As for the food itself, the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. I ordered two platters of several different types of sandwiches, and they were all incredible, especially the Alidoro and La Porchetta. We had a vegetarian in the group, and there were multiple options on that front as well. Everybody raved about the food, and I would happily use Alidoro's catering services again in a heartbeat.

Alidoro caters at my company every weekday lunch. I finally got around to get a sandwich; I got the Pinocchio on flat bread and both the spicy and sweet peppers. The meats' quality was very good and they definitely don't skimp on the meat in the sandwiches! I love the peppers too, as they balance the meat out. I wish there were more vegetables in the sandwich though, because there was a LOT of meat inside the sandwich. Very good flavor and very high quality meats. Definitely recommend!

This was such an awful experience. I placed a big order for a meeting (about 15 sandwiches) around 11:30am. I told them I'd need them ready by 2PM, when i showed up the window was closed and when I knocked, the salesgirl inside just said rudely, "we're closed". I told her I was there to pick up my order and she told me it would be 10 more minutes til it was ready. It actually ended up being 50 minutes!!! I wasn't the only person with this problem. Several people came by the window wondering why their order wasn't ready, or why it hadn't been delivered yet. The salesgirl just kept telling everyone that they were backed up and we'd have to wait. This is not an acceptable response. In my case, these sandwiches were for my boss. Who needed them at a specific time. And when I show up almost an hour late, guess who gets blamed?? ME! I understand this is a small shop, and with only two people working inside, I'm sure they get very overwhelmed with orders, but if that was the case, they never should have taken my order in the first place! I could have gone to one of the other Alidoro locations. Instead I had to wait 50 minutes to get the $300 worth of food I had ordered 3 hours earlier. Terrible and stressful experience overall. I would strongly suggest you order from someplace else.

Just no. Complete and total rip off. I mean, my boyfriend actually enjoyed his sandwich for the flavor, but the portions were terrible for the price. If I wanted to pay $15 for bread, I should've went to a fancy bakery instead.

They make good, fresh sandwiches. But a lot of people do, and with Bite a few blocks aways, I'd say the prices for a sandwich, while tasty and filling, is too high. Especially with the bread they offer by default versus Bite. If the bread was crispier/airier, or made things stand out...I'd probably come back. But after trying it twice, and still whining about the price to myself...well, I'll pass. Some of other sandwiches may be the worth the price, but I don't think I'll be coming back as an average sandwich here could $14. It's filling, but pricey.
