June 2025! Excellent quite air conditioned beautiful bakery in the heart of Spanish Harlem where I was born and raised. The owner is wonderful, and the girls at the counter are amazingly kind❤️👍

This is a lovely little gem in the heart of East Harlem. Whenever I go here, there are always folks waiting and they leave pleased, which is a good sign. I like the variety in the offering of both sweet and savory pastries, all of which I've tried have been fresh and flavorful without being too greasy or stodgy. I recommend the sesame balls (my favorite) the mushroom and cheese buns and the egg tarts. I brought a selection of these home as a treat for my family and everyone enjoyed them. The staff are extremely kind and bubbly, and have always been helpful in letting me know when certain pastries weren't available or had been sold out for the day, and when they would next be available. I haven't tried any of the cakes as of yet, but I may once I come back around again. Five stars all around and a necessary stop for anyone who's in the area.

Terrible coffee. I asked for an americano and they just poor coffee from another mug and added a ton of water.
Worst coffee ever!

I recently visited ALoaf Bakery and was blown away by the experience! The atmosphere is incredibly warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious treat. The selection of baked goods is impressive—everything looks and smells amazing!

I had the pleasure of chatting with the staff, who were friendly and shared how much they value their role in the community. It’s clear that this bakery is not just about great baked goods but also about building connections with locals.

Aloaf has become a staple for birthday cakes in our friend group for over a year now- and i can’t wait to continue ordering from them!!
They’re super affordable and soo friendly! They have tons of flavors to choose from.
I’ve done tiramisu and chocolate strawberry shortcake! I usually do 7-inch heart shaped cake which feeds 12-15 people.

I even sent them some inspo pics of aesthetic Pinterest cakes. They usually don’t do fancy cakes but MY GOD THEY MADE MY FRIEND’S BIRTHDAY CAKE SO CUTE!! Pinterest worthy!! ❤️
I recommend them to anyone And everyone!!

I ordered a cappuccino and also requested to use the bathroom due to an emergency, the staff was helpful and try to help but the owner refused even after I did explain I had a medical condition! I will never step a foot in this place and I truly hope he never gets sick because as a costumer I have the right to ask for the benefit of a bathroom!

I was a regular here when I lived in Harlem and I’ve always loved this place; never had an issue. However, an airhead worked today. I ordered three items, she only gave me two. Someone gave me a hot dirty chai when I asked for it iced (I wrote it down as I’m deaf).

I then asked for the cake I ordered. She proceeded to say she didn’t charge me for it. I was nothing but respectful, but she put on a show for the other customers until I asked for the receipt, which she had an issue providing. Once she realized that she did, in fact, charge me for it after finding the receipt, she had nothing to say.

Just because she had a nasty attitude, I gave the items back and asked for a refund — she also had an issue with that. There’s a lot to smile about and be friendly for in this life, try considering it.
