Super nice staff and delicious ice cream. I must back. Greetings from Poland

Came here for a couple scoops on Saturday and was very pleased with the flavor options available — I did a chocolate fudge brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough!

Went in earlier tonight around 10:30-10:40 and the two workers there looked at me like two deer in headlights, before telling me that the store was closed, however on the door and online it says the store was closing at 11.

Five stars for this wonderful ice cream shop by Tompkins Square. Six dollars gets you a MASSIVE kids scoop that is twice the size of other places. Their ube flavor was the real deal. And best of all, the sprinkles were free!!

Alphabet Scoop is a sweet little ice cream shop that’s tucked away off the main street, but it’s absolutely worth it. Honestly, I’d rather support a small business like this than the big-name chains any day.

The staff here is amazing, super friendly, helpful, and quick to offer recommendations. They greeted me as soon as I walked in and even let me sample a few flavors. I ended up going with the salted caramel in a waffle cone, and it was delicious. The ice cream is on the creamier side and the scoops are generous, so even the kids’ scoop is plenty.

Exceptional ice cream, thoughtfully made, and served by people who care about more than just dessert. This East Village spot quietly channels its success into meaningful community work—making each visit feel worthwhile in more ways than one. Skip chains like Van Leeuwen making every neighborhood generic- support the unique spirit of the village.

A wonderful little spot tucked away on E 11th Street. I opted for the Mexican chocolate + ginger flavors and suffered a bit of the consequences 🔥😆. Would definitely recommend a more mild flavor combo if you have a low “heat” tolerance like I do.

Nevertheless, the ice cream was delicious and the staff was friendly and professional. We love supporting a place like this that is doing good things for the community through youth training and mentorship.

Interesting ice cream shop, playing up the neighborhood. Tasty flavors, but a but expensive.

Just WOW! AMAZING service, AMAZING proportions, and the sprinkles are always free. Super affordable too.

The people are always so graciously kind, the helpings are always enormously delicious, making this one of the best ice cream places in lower Manhattan! I personally love splitting a sundae with my girlfriend strawberry birthday cake with sprinkles and hot fudge. But you can’t go wrong with any of their flavors.

I swung by here after dinner one day for a sweet treat and it was nice. The interior of the shop is small and there is minimal seating; it's definitely a grab and go spot. Service is very nice.

Unfortunately, when I went, there was no sampling available so I had to just pick a flavor and wish for the best. I ended up choosing strawberry ice cream and it was solid. The ice cream here is really creamy, milky, and a bit stretchy/thick (if you know that I mean). Not a bad spot for ice cream in the area.

Love the mission of this shop, and the ice cream is the best in the city!!!

Very disappointing experience with the man working during our visit (larger middle-aged man with accent). He was extremely rude and dismissive. We asked for the price of a milkshake before ordering, but were charged a higher amount at checkout—he claimed he had made a mistake initially, but treated us as if we were stupid. On top of that, we had to ask multiple times before he finally added the sprinkles we requested.

The ice cream itself was great, but the poor service really turned us off.

Amazing find! Really friendly place, excellent quality ice cream and stupendous flavors: Ginger, Mexican chocolate, green tea, Rocky Road! 👌
