We've dined here previously, and made a point of staying in the neighborhood so we could go again. I'm not sure what happened in the kitchen, but the food quality this time was disappointing. Broccoli rabe....who serves undercooked stems for.$14??? Tagliatelle sauce had no flavor....burrata was more like mozzarella....oysters ( not restaurants fault) were bland...we left the restaurant totally underwhelmed.
Sooo good ! I

Nothing special. Much better places in NYC for Italian food.
Best food place we got when we went shopping in NY! The servers were great! They even carried our toddler when he was in his walker. The serving of the food is also generous! I ordered the chicken there and it was really good! The pizza is also good! Try the Tiramisu as well!

Excellent experience. Gluten free menu available upon request and staff modified a dish to meet dietary needs.
Decided last minute to make a late 8:30pm dinner reservation and the service, food, and drinks were delightful. Pasta and seafood were fresh and delicious.
We have often dined here and have always found everything to be just great. We have brought friends there for dinner. Everything is always delicious. We will continue to go there for an exceptional meal. Their tiramisu is divine!!
I went to Altesi Downtown on a Friday night. Surprisingly it was not packed, a few people were there. There was plenty of seating remaining so you won't have an issue getting a table, it's very spacious. They served complimentary bread which was warm, I love that detail. It was served with a bean dip with olive oil. I started with the baked oysters with melted pepper jack cheese and spinach, it tasted great. Then I had Spaghetti Neri, the pasta was delicious and I loved the spicy sauce. For dessert I had the passion fruit panna cotta, which was heavenly and refreshing.

Have been coming here for brunch/lunch for the last 5 years. It never disappoints! I went for brunch a week ago and they had a menu of JUST egg dishes, all interesting ( and fab) and priced incredibly well. I'm thinking they may have their own chickens ! lol 🐣
Sorry - it was a busy night and maybe we caught them on a bad night. It happens - but the service was just non existent. The food was good, but we won't be back.
This place serves authentic dishes and the service is top tier. My family and I love this restaurant. I have been coming to this restaurant for almost every special occasion. Funny thing is I happened to stumble upon this restaurant on Mother’s Day years ago.

They had a restaurant week menu that comes with an appetizer and entree. We chose the fried mozzarella & pesto pizza. They were both great! It is easy for pesto to be overpowering on a pizza but it wasn’t at all with this one; very subtle and cohesively integrated. I’m particularly a big fan of thin crust pizza so this really hit the spot. Waiters were professional.
