Loved if here and will have to comeagain. Love myself a seafood/oyster happy hour and I think they’ve mastered it. The oysters, though on the smaller side, are $1-2 and come with a variety of sauces. The rice paper chicken quesadillas, though a little thin, were savory and especially well paired with the sauce. The stars of the meal were the miso cod cakes and the lychee martinis. I could eat 10 more of the cod cakes right now. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, savory, umami, and a little sweet all over. The lychee martinis were so strong but not in a bad way. The service was also great. Staff were so friendly and quick. Great vibes as well with a little bit of a darker atmosphere. Good for date night! Will be here again!

Had high hopes for this place but sadly was a downer. Extremely noisy, with arrogant staff. Completely forgot one of our dishes and didn’t acknowledge the mistake. Instead left us waiting for over 20 minutes without word and then shoved a few complimentary sides in for measure. Meanwhile everyone around us was getting their dishes on time with smiles on their faces. Maybe if I wear my suit next time I’ll get more attention.

Wonderful service. Great cocktail. Great oyster and mussels. But, the small plates are a bit too salty. Overall, it was still a five star experience. The food feedbacks are just for the management to maybe go easier on the salt and sauces a little bit.

We had a fabulous meal here, the best food and cocktails we have had during our trip to New York. The service, the food, the atmosphere was 10/10. Harvey and Brandon looked after us all night and made sure we had a great meal.

I love Ama for their happy hour oysters! One of the cheapest finds you'll find in the city for oysters and great taste. They also have other happy hour options on the menu like certain cocktails and their yuzu pepper shrimp (which I'd also recommend having). It's a good spot for a date night or to catch up with friends.

The best spot for happy hour and mussels! The happy hour oysters always hit the spot. There are two options - Barcat oysters from VA for $1.25 and St. Simon oysters from CA for $2.25. The Barcat oysters are briny, but light. The St. Simon oysters are more meaty and sweet. They have 3 sauces - ponzu scallion, cocktail, and a vinaigrette. Highly recommend the ponzu sauce! Always order the Mellow Mussels!! It is a huge portion of perfectly cooked mussels in a lemongrass cilantro broth and comes with a side of crispy shoestring fries with nori on top. The mussels are so tender and just melt in your mouth. The broth is so delicious, I could drink the whole bowl. It also comes with a fried bao to soak up the broth. Shout out to the staff who are always amazing! The interior of the restaurant looks like the inside of a submarine - it is dark, but cozy. The bathrooms have many diving pictures! The east village location is more open air, loud music open bar, whereas this location is more intimate and quiet. Perfect for date nights or catching up with some friends over drinks.

Love this spot! It's our repeat location for Oye ster happy hour and the rest of the food is also really good too!!! Happy hour is until 7. And all the drinks are very reasonably priced.

Delicious gem for a last minute date night. Luckily there were plenty of reservation times, a rarity in the West Village on a Saturday night. I started with the recommended lychee martini which was very good! I had a sip of their twist on an espresso martini and that's what I'd probably order next time, so good! For an entree I got an uni noodle dish with an incredible sauce and egg on top. This must have been a special because I sadly don't see it on the menu anymore. This was to die for and such a rich, comforting, and tasty seafood dish I would absolutely order again. Service was good and the prices were actually fairly reasonable for the area, quality, and portion size. The interior was dark, moody, and a bit upscale. A very solid place that I would come back to, maybe for happy hour.

I regret not taking any pictures, because Ama was a really great experience. This place seems to be a bit of a hidden gem. It was easy to get a reservation on a Saturday night and the ambiance was cozy, sexy, and chic. The happy hour is a really great deal and is all night long if you sit at the bar. Any place that retains happy hour on the weekend wins a point for me.Food (happy hour snacks): The oysters were delicious, although they don’t have crackers. We were able to get 24 oysters for only $30. The Yuzu Pepper Shrimp was nicely coated in sauce but still crunchy. The Miso Cod Cakes exceeded expectations and I would say are a must order.Drinks: The Spicy Palawan was delicious. Great amount of heat without being overpowering. Only $11 during the happy hour, which I consider a steal for a Saturday night.Service: Our server was super attentive and made great—but not annoying— conversation with us. They made sure to check in before the happy hour was over to see if we wanted any additional items.Overall, highly recommend if you are looking for a sleek raw bar to enjoy seafood and drinks. Easy to get a table, great happy hour deal, and awesome location.
