Loved the jam cookie and the barista Rina was such an angel. I love coming to this cafe. Thank u Gabe for always greeting me so cheerfully!

I kept ordering their Açaí and Pitaya bowls, which are objectively the best, but the service is so consistently terrible I’m done ordering there. More than 50% of the time when I come to pick up my order they didn’t see it and I have to wait 30min+ for them to make it on the spot, or they’re unable to make it and cancel it without me getting a notification. They don’t even offer to honor the discounts I ordered with, and refunds take 2+ weeks.
I love starting my day at Amano. The cappuccino is consistently excellent, and Jennifer—the incredible barista—makes the experience even better. She clearly takes pride in her craft and won’t serve anything less than perfect. Her attention to detail and warm energy make every visit a pleasure. Thank you! 😊

Standing in line for a while on July 23, and the woman at the register ignored the pregnant person first in line and served another person standing later in line instead and in a rude and abrupt manner, without acknowledging others. Management should remain employees on courteous customer service. Even though I moved to the neighborhood I will not be returning again.

Good flavor to the flat white. No drip coffee was available. Tip: if you leave a review you might get a thank you free coffee email the next day (not advertised in store or elsewhere as an incentive, thankfully). Good barista art.

Great coffee, great cookies, good atmosphere.
Delicious vanilla ginger latte in a mug with some beautiful latte art, ample outlets and seating as well as desk space, chill atmosphere with others working too, not much more you could ask for! (Besides a bathroom). Loved my time at Amano and would be back.

Cute cafe. They have 1- to 2-hour limitations on table use per purchase. Many people were working there.

Response to owner: I get a caffe latte and pastry several times a week, so I have a good idea of how much they can cost; the croissant I had was delicious, but $15 for it and the Caffe latte even before tip is too much. Thank you for looking into the outlet issue.
My caffe latte and croissant were good, but way overpriced. Other negatives: they have outlets, which enticed me to stay, but a lot of them don't work (my laptop wouldn't stay plugged in). Same goes for their WiFi: available, but v limited.

I was visiting from out of state and only needed four things: good coffee, wifi, a power outlet, and a bathroom. Three out of four isn’t bad—no bathroom. After popping in and out of a couple of other pretty busy coffee shops around Washington Square, I was glad to find Amano. It’s a nice, low-key spot with plenty of seating that gave me a great start to my first day in NYC.

One of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Three of the staff members were not super nice, almost like a “I’m too cool to serve you” kind of attitude, except its literally their job 😂 Like all three of them did not even say hi or anything. BUT ANYWAY, still one of the best lattes in manhattan so I would 100% come back just for that
