Neighborhood gem! Excellent and attentive service. Delicious chicken martini. And Eggplant parm. Food served hot the way it should be.

Amata is our "go to" neighborhood restaurant. The menu is alive with interesting and classic Italian choices. Try the chicken parm of course. The service is ALWAYS first rate. Chris Dorrian is a congenial owner who likes to come by just to say hi. A local treasure!

Love this restaurant. Have been going there for many years and always had great food and great service! Had two parties there years ago and they couldn't have been better

This is a must stop restaurant every trip I make to NY to visit family. Get the pork chop and anything pasta you can’t go wrong! The owner is incredible and passionate about nailing every single dish that comes out to every single table.

Horrible service…I can’t expand much on how the food was because we weren’t even served. Me and my mom were looking for somewhere to get some italian food and I go to school right by the restaurant and I wanted to stop by. We stood at the desk waiting to be given a table but the waiter looked right at us, made eye contact, and ignored us. Extremely rude…

Wonderful seafood salad hit the spot as an appetizer before the delicious veal with artichokes.

food delicious - wait staff and manager very pleasant. It was my granddaughters birthday and they made it extra special with sparkler in dessert and all sang to her. Would recommend Amata for family or a nice date - I will definitely return

Nice and relaxing restaurant.Service was good but the wait staff kind of cold.I like to start a dinner with a Gin and Tonic but limited selections on the Gin.Wine by the glass ( white) limited selections.Wife and I ordered salads which were very good.My wife's main course was lobster and pasta which she enjoyed.I orders the veal piccata and it was ok.Very very thin slices slightly on the dry side. This is a restaurant that is very popular with the nearby residents which we had some good conversations with.We also met the owner on our way out and he was very personable and he introduced us to the manager who also was very pleasant.Dinner prices here were very reasonable for Manhattan. We would we go back, not sure.

Our group of 5 - 6 women enjoy our book club every month at this restaurant. We travel from Westchester, Long Island and NYC to meet in this wonderful, delicious restaurant. The staff is always accomodating to try to find us a quiet table in the corner. We never feel rushed. Great place!

We joined our cousin Todd Stein (who is running for district leader), he recommended Amata....excellent service & the food was impeccable 👌! We were served promptly and catered to every minute during our visit. Gnocchi with pesto, lobster 🦞 tortellini with vodka sauce, Wow! Baked calms, fried Calamari, steak cooked perfectly, and much more. Parked right out front. Not rushed at all. Pleasantly greeted and overseen throughout the evening by owner Christopher. Ambiance & atomosphere was perfect!Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. We will be sure to visit again soon👍
