Rude service. I ordered a soda with my meal and was rudely confronted when I picked one up at the refrigerator. Lady claimed I did not order a soda when I most definitely did....instead of adjusting my order, she slammed the door in my face.

It's January 1st, 2024, and I placed another dinner order online, as I do sometimes 3 or 5 times per week. This time I wanted to try an all-salmon sashimi, which the restaurant does not have on the menu (Sakedon) - they only have "21-piece Sashimi Deluxe". So, I called in advance to inform them the order I was about to place (since I know other places charge extra to modify). The phone attendant simply told me: "Just type a note that you want only salmon". And no other instruction or info. Okay? Okay! Delivery arrives and... surprise: 12 pieces only. Extremely disappointed, I called Amsterdam Sushi to inquire about it and all I heard was a yelling woman on the phone counterarguing that If I wanted only salmon, I should have chosen "Sakedon" (remember that order IS NOT on their menu). No matter how many times I tried to remind her I called in advance and no additional information was given, she continued to interrupt me and yell away incredibly unprofessional. Now, for those reading this review, remember I mentioned that I order sometimes 4 to 5 times in a single week. And yet was treated like this, then imagine If you're a new customer and are trying to modify your order. Just to complete, the phone lady stated the following before she hung up on me: "You can call Delivery.com or whatever you want! I am not fixing your order nor am I reimbursing you". Happy New Year for her too.

Their sushi is very good, however I didn't like the miso soup but that my opinion because I got a bad allergic reaction from it. It's not their fault, but rather, I was not aware of what my body could handle.

This is my go to spot. There are sushi places on every corner and some are better than others. My favorite spot is in Greenpoint. Amsterdam sushi offers some nice combo options or individual rolls at affordable prices. It is always fresh, the staff is friendly and our food is always ready on time. So, when in Harlem I like to come here, for the quality and simplicity.
