Not a good option for vegans. Nearly every dish contains dairy, and the staff isn’t flexible about substitutions. I ordered the tofu teriyaki, which turned out to be just fried tofu with plain steamed vegetables—bland and uninspired. I won’t be coming back.

Great takeout spot! We had the spicy mango tar tar (9/10), the tiger roll (9/10), the trio toro roll (7/10), love mango roll (8/10), spicy kani roll (7/10 and the spicy crunchy salmon roll (8/10). Everything was solid, would definitely get takeout again
I had take out lunches two days in a row. First I had the tonkatsu lunch for $12.95 with salad (good ginger dressing). Tonkatsu was mostly good, good crunch, good sauce, but a little dry (overcooked) at thinner pieces. Next day I had the sashimi lunch with miso soup. The soup and rice were done correctly. The sashimi came with 3 pieces of salmon, tuna, and snapper (white fish), two shiso leaves, julienne radish, pickled ginger, wasabi for $15.50. The fish was very fresh and every detail was correct. Good value for your money. I’ll give it 8.5/10.
I absolutely love this place. It was my second time visiting. The food was delicious, everything we had was great. The service at Amura is always wonderful!
This place is excellent in all ways. Sushi is fresh and amazing service is wonderful takeout equally as good. Love it. Thank you Amura for high quality sushi Everytime
Great service and delicious fresh sushi. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you!
Huge let down. Do not believe the ratings, the teriyaki chicken was very bland and rubbery. The sushi does not seem fresh. Will not return.
food service atmosphere all excellent. My new go to place for Japanese food.Truly wonderful all around.
The salmon teriyaki bento lunch special ($14.50 plus tax) and the tempura sampler ($11) were decent. In a neighborhood with many Japanese dining options, Amura is worth considering but is not a must-try.

I think it’s a hidden gem. The sign in front makes it seem sketchy, but I saw all good reviews so wanted to try it. The inside is super clean and nice and the food was amazing!! The sign in front that says all you can eat sushi def throws people off but I’m happy I tried it! My new go to spot.
My favorite sushi spot. Fish is always fresh, their salad dressing is great, pricing is very reasonable!
Reliably really wonderful and fresh sushi (In my mind best on the UES). Good lunch price for rolls. Recommend the Omakase.

Consistently Freshest Sushi, best service and nice atmosphere at Amura. Jalapeño Yellow appetizer melts in your mouth with a different kick.
Love their lightly coated tofu teriyaki. Their multigrain rice is at once delicious and nutritious and complements their sushi and sashimi spectacularly.
My wife Susan and I are regulars who BYOB, do not order expensively, but they always give us our favorite booth and treat us with kindness, respect and appreciation.
