I ordered the two roll lunch special, choosing spicy tuna and spicy salmon, which came with a side salad. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The rice was well-seasoned and held together nicely. The side salad was simple but had my all time favorite carrot ginger. The portions were just right for lunch
-not too heavy, but filling enough.
I came at an off hour so the place was super quiet. The staff was attentive even though they were prepping for dinner at the same time.

A favorite place on the UES for lunch. Everything is fresh and delicious! Great service and fantastic sushi.
Their sushi is terrible. Not fresh at all and very fishy! I hope management takes action and refunds me for my sushi and uses fresher ingredients in the future.

A wonderful restaurant with not only authentic but also creative food. You can order anything on the menu, and it will be delicious. We loved several specialty rolls that we ordered.
The staff is warm and friendly, and the service is impeccable. We certainly will be back!

Not a good option for vegans. Nearly every dish contains dairy, and the staff isn’t flexible about substitutions. I ordered the tofu teriyaki, which turned out to be just fried tofu with plain steamed vegetables—bland and uninspired. I won’t be coming back.

Great takeout spot! We had the spicy mango tar tar (9/10), the tiger roll (9/10), the trio toro roll (7/10), love mango roll (8/10), spicy kani roll (7/10 and the spicy crunchy salmon roll (8/10). Everything was solid, would definitely get takeout again
I had take out lunches two days in a row. First I had the tonkatsu lunch for $12.95 with salad (good ginger dressing). Tonkatsu was mostly good, good crunch, good sauce, but a little dry (overcooked) at thinner pieces. Next day I had the sashimi lunch with miso soup. The soup and rice were done correctly. The sashimi came with 3 pieces of salmon, tuna, and snapper (white fish), two shiso leaves, julienne radish, pickled ginger, wasabi for $15.50. The fish was very fresh and every detail was correct. Good value for your money. I’ll give it 8.5/10.
I absolutely love this place. It was my second time visiting. The food was delicious, everything we had was great. The service at Amura is always wonderful!
