If there’s an award for the worst $19 cocktail, this place might already have it on display. The drinks are a tragic ode to pre-mixed mixers, and the only thing shaken here is my faith in humanity. Owning a liquor license is a privilege, not an excuse to subject paying customers to this liquid insult. As for the bartender, I can only assume nepotism played a role—because taste and skill clearly didn’t.

Title: A Masterclass in Failure (Redux)

Against my better judgment—and at the insistence of a family member who is now on thin ice—I returned to this restaurant, hoping for even the slightest improvement. Instead, I was met with the culinary equivalent of a hostage situation.

The drinks, somehow, have deteriorated while the prices have skyrocketed. I assume the extra charge is a penalty for subjecting myself to this liquid tragedy. As for the charcuterie board, it was less a curated selection and more a desperate cry for help—limp meats, uninspired cheeses, and an overall presentation that suggested both apathy and regret.

At this point, I can only assume the owner is conducting a long-term psychological experiment on unsuspecting diners. Consider this your warning: do not participate.

To prevent this review from sending you into a depressed fugue state, I am attaching a photo of my golden retriever. Unlike this restaurant, he brings joy, consistency, and a genuine effort to please.

Wow the guy behind the counter with the lousy neck tattoo….. no hello, no thank you, no manners, incredibly rude, not sure why this guy has a job

I had breakfast here. This is your average hotel hot bar breakfast. $45 is quite steep for a buffet style breakfast that lacks options.

Its a place for complimentary self-serve breakfast. The service was mostly pleasant and the limited breakfast choices were all fresh and hot.

The fact that breakfast is $45 isn't posted anywhere. Tip is included for some reason. All the waiter does is bring you a drink. Stay away

Friendly bar, fast service and yeah, conveniently located. Super friendly staff. Especially Kate! The drinks are reasonably priced

Food and sevice was decent. The bill had a "service charge" embedded in the totals. I asked the manager thinking it was a fee from the state of new york. The manager said the "service charge" went to the server. The "service charge" was 22 to 24% of the total. The bill didn't state that and the first line to fill out on the invoice was "gratuity". Most people wouldn't notice the service charge and give the server an additional 15 to 25%. The tip should be based on the quality of service provided. It shouldn't be a deceptive charge for a forced gratuity regardless of the effort of the server.

Located at the lobby level of Westin, Amuse is vibrant and lures you with a nice selection of drinks & good service.

“Ken, host at Amuse” MAJOR attitude. Needs an adjustment along with the waitress working with him. He needs to be retrained in customer service ASAP!!!! No people skills! RUDE. I hope not to see him there on my annual birthday trip to NYC next year and ever ever again! Kick rocks Ken! “Host at Amuse”!

Most expensive bland food I had. I ordered the salmon and it was a mistake. Quinoa was over cooked and watery, asparagus wasn’t cooked (probably thrown in the water for 5min) and salmon was ok.I also ordered a side of potatoe puree and asked if it was home made (10$ price) they said yes but clearly the taste and texture suggest otherwise.Staff is friendly but they had one server for more than 10 tables on an evening.Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place for quick dinner unless you’re ok with a club sandwich and fries (combo can be decent).

Been staying at the Westin Grand Central for work on and off for 12 of the last 21 days so I've spent a ton of time in the restaurant - and the staff is wonderful, efficient, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast varies between a buffet and à la carte, and I've been here for afternoon lunch and tea meetings. Always a super convenient and welcoming spot. Neville and Merlinde are wonderful hosts, and Sandra and Attivia are attentive and thoughtful servers. They even remembered my birthday and surprised me!

Food was really good. I had french onion soup and the baby greens salad. BUT…Service was sooo painfully slow’. To her credit, there was only one server for the whole bar/restaurant but it took forever! Soup, salad and 2 glasses of wine = $100 before tip!
