I have been coming here on estimate two years, sometimes coming here by myself to do college work. Today I came dressed down, very comfy ready to enjoy Sunday brunch with a friend. (This is not a fancy establishment requiring formal attire). We were treated differently because of our attire and our demographic. The treatment was passive aggressive and uncomfortable because the customer service for everyone else’s table was spectacular. However, when it came to our table, we didn’t receive the complementary bread basket for the table, made aware there were specials for the day, wasn’t greeted by the owner nor EVER asked how the service or food was. This was done for every other table. I have been coming here for quite some time, I know the service expectations and they were way below minimum. We felt tolerated at this point not to mention the food was cold. This was going to be our go-to neighborhood bistro to bring other friends and family especially being that Pete Wells is my cousin, I would have loved for him to try the place but today was my last unfortunate time taking my business to Amuse Bistro. This review is for people looking to have a calm meal who want to dress casual wear and are young. Please be aware of the experience you might receive.

Absolutely awesome hideen French Bistro is inside La Marqueta.Chef Edward and his team create mouthwatering dishes and great French pastries. One of the great dishes is their Bacalao Pie, which uses dried cod fish from Mama Grace & Nana down the hall. She's been here for over 30 years and sells a variety of dried fish. The pie is a dish the chef ate growing up in France. The fish is soaked overnight, boiled, shredded and mixed with butter, olive oil, garlic, scallions, and potatoes, baked and voila! This comforting dish is Brandade de Morue in French.Reminds me of a Shepherd's pie or like a gratin. It's warm, comforting and just a touch salty, chunks of fish and potato—really delicious!I also had the Croque Monsieur, a couple of great quiches and fresh croissants. I've been here 4 times already! They have great dishes for brunch on weekends.Don't skip on pastries like a great banana bread, lots of French cookies and treats.

Cute place with great food that is on my list of favorites to return to. I’ve been here twice, and the quiche du jour impressed each time! The tarte aux pommes was excellent! I would love to try other items. The place also carries specialty items from France. I love the honey!

This place just has the most delicious food and the kindest owners! If you’re near by (or even if you’re not), it’s a must-visit gem for high quality and freshly prepared nourishment for both your belly and your soul. I had the ginger carrot soup, and a number of different pastries…all were the easily top-notch, and the carrot ginger soup is the best I have ever had.

Hands down new favourite spot in the city. Unapologetically French while also being unapologetically New York. Food is precise and perfectly executed; lots of care given to ingredients. The couple who own it are charming human beings who take pride in their work, and the prices are so reasonable for the extremely high quality!I've been restaurant industry for twenty plus years and I'm a CMS somm and I have eaten a lot of French food. People in America don't realise it can be so casual and effortlessly delicious and balanced, with so many nods to NYC in the process. The salmon sandwich is the most charmingly French interpretation of a fundamentally New York thing like lox (on a baguette instead of a bagel.) The special duck confit parmentier is such a Gascon thing, and starting the day with it at 11am reminds me so deeply of the heavy dejuner l'ouvrier (working man's lunch) I'd have when doing migrant labour in provincial areas (it was just too early to start with jug wine, ha.) They make their own compound butter. The coffee is executed perfectly and they use french branded syrups instead of monin, which are much less saccharin. And the pastries! They make their own compound dough. I've eaten enough for the whole day and feel the need to do farm labour to burn it off now. I will be back, often. Please take it from me and don't miss this.

Tomato soup was so flavorful yet creamy! The owners are extremely kind and go above and beyond with their service. I had an off menu special which consisted of duck (forgot the French name of the dish) and it was also quite good too. Highly recommend checking out and I will definitely be back soon!

Amuse Bouche delivers every time my fiancee and I go. Addicted to their brunch, especially "The All Shebetty." The shared seating in the marketplace is bare and not the most comfortable but the food here makes up for it.
