I'm a regular at Amy Ruth's restaurant in Harlem and I'm always down to grab some Soul Food on my days off with my friends when I have the time. Quite recently, I found out that Amy Ruth's had a second location closer to where I work downtown. I ordered baked catfish, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese.. When my food came out, I had fried catfish and the waitress told me they don’t have baked catfish after I repeated my order to her, and she repeated it back to me🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ Now she did ask me if I wanted to change it but change it to what plus it was my lunch hour and I was really hungry. First time eating from this restaurant, orderd delivery via uber eats. Fried Catfish with, two sides, mac n cheese & candied yams. Complements to the Chef and this locations staff, and whomevers grandmother's recipe was used to prepare those home cooked dishes. The portions were very down south americana, BIG, all the food arrived hot.
