Greek restaurant with lovely atmosphere. The food is excellent - we got the assortment of 3 spreads which were delicious (tzatziki, skordalia, and the red pepper dip). They also gave us complementary hummus - so good!

Service and food are just ok. Not worth the price. The grilled octopus lacked seasoning and had no flavor. Service is average.

Be careful when you make a reservation with them. They cancelled the reservation unexpectedly and the receptionist was just so rude.
The food was decent, but I found it to be a bit overpriced for the quality. What really caught me off guard was the mandatory 20% tip at the end of the bill, which was not mentioned anywhere on the menu. Transparency is key when it comes to dining experiences, and this felt misleading. I would have appreciated knowing about this policy upfront.

Food was great. But keep in mind, when you want to split the check, they will give tipping hints that represents the total bill and not half of it. So be careful.

I’ve been to this restaurant many times, but my most recent visit left a bad impression. I stopped in alone while running errands in the afternoon. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, so I ordered food and a glass of wine. After 30 minutes, I asked for the bill even though I still had a full glass of wine. I even left an overly generous tip, as I had planned to sit and enjoy my time a bit longer.
Despite the many open tables, I noticed the waitstaff repeatedly glancing over, and eventually, one came over to ask if I wanted anything else, like dessert. By that point, I had already paid, and the restaurant wasn’t closing anytime soon. I’m always mindful of not overstaying my welcome, but the subtle pressure to leave felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. When I mentioned I’d be leaving in a minute, the waiter insisted he was just checking in, but I knew what he was doing.
That experience turned me off. I’ll be taking a break from that spot for a while…there are plenty of other great restaurants to enjoy.

My friend is vegan so we didn’t order any meat. It was so good! Everything was so fresh, would definitely go back!

I visited Anassa Taverna after a trip to Serendipity 3, and overall, it was a nice spot to unwind. We were hoping to stay a little longer, but unfortunately, we didn’t realize the bar closes at 11:00 PM, which put a slight damper on our night. That said, we made the most of it—enjoyed our drinks and had a good conversation before heading out.
The atmosphere stood out the most for me. It has an upscale yet inviting vibe, and I really liked the unique aesthetic they had going on—it almost felt like a high-end grocery market’s vegetable section, which was a cool touch. They also have TVs playing sports, adding to the relaxed yet refined ambiance.
She enjoyed her cocktail, and I went with a classic Stella. The service was good, though we weren’t there long enough to fully gauge it. Overall, it’s a cool spot to check out if you’re in the area, but just keep in mind they close earlier than expected.

Branzino excellent, highly recommended. Greek salad good. Spinach pie ok. Horta (greens) well prepared but no flavor. Lamb kebab soft and tasty. Greek yogurt with walnuts and sour cherries was fine. Excellent service. Reasonable pricing for NYC.

Went there for dinner with friends. The food was excellent. The service was okay but that could have been because there was a huge
Birthday party at next table. Me and my wife always drink a lot of water and the person serving the water. Never let our glasses get empty. I would definitely go there again
