Delicious food that doesn't cause harm to the planet. And I keep the beautiful jars and use them for all sorts of things at home!

Salads, lattes and reusable glass jars is how I'd describe this place, a little hole in the wall cafe on west 8th.

Cute place but they don't take cash. I was sent away. Lame!

I popped into this place to kill some time and ordered a iced chai latte and a cold mint tea for my boyfriend. We had to cancel the mint tea order because only had hot tea and said it would take a while to cool it down (??). My iced chai was terrible. No flavor, watered down (I'm not sure how it got watered down so quickly) and it also had some of those milk specks in it from the milk jug (or maybe bits of sour milk?) It was also $6, super overpriced. The menu says there is a $2 jar deposit, so I thought, fine, I'll get $2 back when I return the jar. A $4 chai is totally normal. However, when I returned the jar, I was given the choice of a token to receive $2 off on my next visit or keeping the jar. This should be disclosed on the menu or by the cashier before a purchase is made. I knew I wouldn't be going back since my drink was so bad and I didn't really need the jar. I ended up taking the jar and leaving annoyed that I paid for a really terrible drink.

Favorite go-to place for guilt-free desserts and *delicious* healthy lunch. Great selection of gluten-free sweets with coconut sugar! Those brownie bites are nomnomm!

Really cute place. Was running early to a meeting nearby and stopped to get a little reading done. Great ambiance, calm, and obviously a great concept for a coffee/ snack shop; however my chai latte was very very bad. It was grainy and had absolutely no flavor. It tasted like a bad cinnamon latte. It was also lukewarm and became cold VERY fast. For the price, you'd think it would be really yummy... unfortunate. Ended up going to another place to cleanse my palette bc that cinnamon taste really lingered. Great service and the second time around, chai latte was perfect!!! One of the best, very soft and subtle and warm. Must've been a one off.

Ancolie is really wonderful! Every single thing I've tried I've loved. The atmosphere is cozy and cute, and the people at the counter are friendly. Plus, gotta love a eco-conscious mission. Not to mention those jars. I still use my jars nearly every day.

Ancolie NY MN Greenwich Village 6pm Monday 8th October 2018 Four Stars This cute french cafe has a bright ambiance with cute little jars filled with snacks, yogurt, meals, etc. I had a cold brew which came in a giant jar with cold draft ice. It was a bit bitter, low acid, a lasting tongue texture but extremely caffeinated. They have GF snacks.

This is a really cute and calm space, at least for the time I went. I love the white brick walls, wood tabletops, fresh flowers, etc. Not to mention the food looks stinkin' cute in those glass jars. Talk about hip! Ironically, I craved a chai latte (even though it was nearly 80 degrees outside in October, go figure) so that's what I ordered. Sadly it just didn't hit the bar for chai lattes; felt like too much hot water and not enough chai, if you know what I mean. Anyway, my drink was meh but the space is cute and I got some work done. I'd be willing to come back and give this place another try in the future.

As random as it sounds, I love this spot for its jars! Ex: Ask for a matcha latte, get it in a dope glass jar you can take home with you. The ultimate two-fer.

It's a bit spendy, but the food is beautiful and prepared with such care. The iced matcha latte is, as they say, everything.

I stopped in Ancolie just to see what they had, and was not particularly hungry. I ended up getting the Apple compote, miso dressing, and the "healthy cookie". All three were amazing ! I love the approach to use simple ingredients and not a lot of extra additives like sugar, processed grains, salt, etc. The apple compote had chunks of apples and was flavored only with nutmeg, I loved adding it to my muesli ! The miso dressing makes any salad taste amazing ! The cookie was so good and I love that you don't need excessive and unhealthy ingredients to make a tasty treat !

I absolutely love this place. 100% love into every aspect of this company! 100% green...down to the packaging, cups, utensils, cleaning products and staff! Everything is delicious and healthy! My favorite spot!

I've never been to the actual storefront, but they popped up at a conference I attended and I instantly fell in love with the following insanely unique and IMPORTANT things about this place. 1) The matcha latte was perfect. I really love a place that makes a solid matcha latte and doesn't add a bunch of sugar, leaving the matcha as the star of the drink, as it should be. 2) THE OVERSIZED MASON JARS that you can take home!!! So, here's the deal. I buy an iced matcha latte and they serve it to me in a larger than normal mason jar (Ancolie branded, plus, served with a PAPER straw). Being at an event (and I probably would've said the same thing in the store), I'm like, "Where do I bring the jar back afterwards?" You bring it where-ever you want because it's yours to keep (with a lid) AND if you bring it back next time you go here you get $1 off. This is important because the place is pretty pricey, but I'm also very on board with a place that's really trying to make a positive environmental impact -- and they do this all around with the reusable glass jars for food and drinks, paper straws, compostable/recyclable cups for hot drinks, and other ways in their actual store through lighting, etc. I'm so excited about this place and am looking forward to going to the actual store to try some of their food items!

Ancolie has delicious food and I love the premise of everything in the business being compostable and environmentally friendly. Wish it wasn't so expensive though! It's definitely beyond a broke student budget!
