i swear they must be laundering money, they almost always closed, out of the way for a grocery store, but theyve been in Chelsea for years, paying that rent,...somehow....
dusty shelf items, awkward hours, serious staff, tight spaces, and before/afterschool its filled with childrens.
UPDATE: I dont know how the location of the store changed, but I reviewed a completely different store located on 9th avenue. I know that i had selected the correct store on 9th avenue and reviewed it, and SOMEHOW, it's now a different location, the store on 9th now looks different, but it still has the same shady rude vibes, kind of like the business response that i got for this review. Feels like the same bad attitude of the people that i originally reviewed lol
Underground Overground Comedy
Went in around 3pm to place a huge order of wraps on catering platters. The young man working took his time and was thorough when taking such a large order. We went over the handwritten food choices multiple times and they were ready exactly on time. The employees helped me carry all the food and everything was great. My crew especially complimented the breaded chicken wraps which I wasn’t originally going to order but the young man recommended. Looking forward to ordering again for our next event!

Great bodega and one of the few with a tavern license so you can enjoy beer inside while eating your lunch. Only $4 for a 12 oz so much cheaper than a bar to sit and drink. Also a very cheap place to grab a bagel w cream cheese

Quite unfortunate that I have to leave this review but I’ve been going to this place for 2.5 years now since I work around the area. This is not the place to enjoy your food or receive friendly service. They want you in and out. However, my main issue is one of their cooks, the short bald one. Absolutely disrespectful and inconsiderate. Asked politely for a cheeseburger deluxe during lunch hours, mind you it was NOT busy. He stood back with an angry look and started cussing indirectly under his face mask. He clearly didn’t want to make it and threw a hissy fit. Better idea, just remove options off the menu if your cooks are lazy. Go here for a quick stop but don’t bother with getting food.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Since it was my first visit here, I asked a few questions concerning the menu. One of the staff members was extremely rude and answered my questions in such a disrespectful manner. I ended up ordered french fries and asked for cheese on top. The fries tasted very stale and oily and there was barely any cheese on the fries. The proportion of fries served to me were shocking. I paid $7 for what seemed to be a small handful of fries. If you’re looking for a deli that serves food and are welcoming, this is not the place to be.
Don’t come here if your African American. I came in the store with an Synergy drink I got from Whole Foods .. I order my breakfast and when it was time to pay the Fat Guy asked me if I’m paying for my drink and I’m looking at him confused so I told him I came in with this drink already and he said I seen you opening the fridge and I told him I didn’t open anything and continue saying you don’t even have this type of brand drink at your store.. I checked with my own eyes to see if they have Synergy drink AND THEY DONT . He kept on eye balling me and I didn’t like that
